Purchased for a jeep hood. Not sure if they spring should be this flimsy but it does the job.

I found this on mavericktruck.com forums. If you add hood struts you need this to "lift" the hood after the second pull to open the hood. Or it will not "POP" up. But for the price it is a welcomed piece. Just need to open the mounting hole a touch to install on factory hood latch bolt. You know you need it after installing hood struts.
