The strap isn't ideal especially for how big the box is, it slips off your should but I guess that's why everyone makes paracord straps. It's pretty big, I would have bought the next size down for a lunch box but my boyfriend has that size and says it's not quite big enough to put drinks and tupperware fits weird he borrowed mine for a day and loved it. But overall it's good quality and everything stays cool even when it's warm out.

These ice packs are great! Good quality, easy to use, easy to clean, and they fit nicely in to tight spaces. If you have a large cooler you may want to make sure that you order a number of them.

These are great coolers! My husband got this one and uses it as a lunch box. Works outside a lot, and it holds a few extra drinks as well as his lunch. There is a small tray that he puts a few things in, badge...ect. He came back and ordered me one as well. So we have two of them. I carry mine to vendor shows, good size to keep drinks and lunch in! They both sit in heat at times, and have both held up keeping things cold with refreezing ice packs. He has the gray, and bought me the light teal color one. We both love them!

I work a construction job, so this cooler spends the day in the back of my truck, 5 days a week. I bought my 19QT a little over a year ago, and so far it has held up fine in the Texas sun. The top has discolored slightly, but it is expected. The cooler has remained leakproof, keeps lunch cold for the day with ice packs, and stays cold/cool for about 24hrs. Personally I don’t use the carry strap because it isn’t applicable to my use. It is by no means comparable to a Yeti in terms of ice retention, but I wasn’t expecting it to be. A lot of people buy certain brands because they are the current popular thing, and don’t consider their needs before buying. Many people I know buy a Yeti, then hardly use them bc they are so heavy. The 19QT Engel is lightweight and easy to carry. I’ve carried a comparable Yeti cooler, and boy are they heavy. In the right circumstance, I’d consider a Yeti, but the Engel combines adequate waterproofing, light weight, ease of use, and doubles as a seat at an excellent price point. If I could do anything, I might consider the next size up from the 19QT because it is a bit to small when I use the dry tray.

Well made and light weight. The one I received is more of a bright pastel orange not the sort of bronze/gold of the picture ( at least it won't get mistaken for a coworker's). The strap could use an arrest system to keep it from spinning around the cooler. Over all very happy with the product.

I've been using my Engel 19qt Lunchbox for a few weeks now, and I'm absolutely blown away by its performance. This thing is a beast when it comes to keeping things cold. I use it mostly for work as a jobsite lunchbox. The ice stays frozen all day, even in scorching summer heat. The build quality is top-notch. It's sturdy, durable, and feels like it's built to last. The latches are secure, and the lid fits snugly, ensuring that nothing leaks out. The exterior is tough, and I've dropped it a few times without any damage.I love the versatility of this cooler. It's perfect for storing food and drinks, but it can also be used to keep other items cold, like medication or electronics. The compact size makes it easy to transport, and it fits perfectly in my backpack or cooler bag.Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with my Engel 19qt Lunchbox. It's a fantastic product that's well worth the investment. If you're looking for a reliable, durable, and high-performing cooler, I highly recommend this one.

-better then any Colman cooler or igloo I’ve had, I’d say same performance as yeti or better.- I’m currently a travelling tradesman home on weekends I bring my food for the week lunches and dinners in this cooler. All the food stays ice cold for the whole time as I drive to site the first day so food is in full sun and outside of a fridge for about 15 hours and everything is ice cold still ( very little ice required).- I also use this as a lunch box I’m 300 pounds and can sit worry free on. I leave my keys and other stuff on the top shelf in the cooler and my keys are cold at the end of the day from my frozen lunch even when the cooler has been empty for a few hours.- the only bad thing is that the Engel logo i received looks straight outta the 90s not the simple red Engel logo pictured. I’ve tried to take the sticker off but seems to be almost bonded to the plastic cooler.

Highly recomended, i own 6 different coolers, ORCA, Coleman steel belted, etc, and this is the one that i use most by far. Very practical.

If you compare this to any Yeti product then you are comparing two different class products. This Engel Cooler Dry box 19qt compared to a Yeti Roadie 19qt quite frankly is no comparison. ($60 vs $249) I own them both for comparison. 1st The Engel's outside size it much smaller than a Yeti. Obviously this means less foam insulation. This is where it wins in certain situations. I use it for day trips, and road trips that I don't have the need for cold food or drinks past the 2 day mark. I also was concerned about the hinges like others on this cooler but it has performed great for me so far. I can see how it would be great as a lunch box as some other users claim. It does what is built to do. Keeps food cold, or keep your dry goods dry. 2nd This cooler is much lighter than a Yeti once again because it is not built to the same standard. I do use mine as a seat from time to time and have not had any issues @200 lbs. I have used this cooler on my boat and it performed great. I would suggest the Ice packs, or frozen waters to keep your items chilled because it is only 19 quarts.I actually bought this product because I thought it might have been the deal of the century Yeti like knock off. It is not a Yeti but I was not disappointed for the $60.00 price point. It is great little cooler for the money, it is just not a Yeti. Compare it more to a similarly priced product and you will find it is a gem. Engel does make coolers that are comparable to the Yeti in the Deep Blue series. This is where my initial confusion started because my research didn't spell out the differences in the cooler series. You would think I should have known the difference up front spending 1/4 of the money. My confusion yielded me a little useful cooler that I use quite often. It is a quality product that I can see lasting for years to come. Please compare the deep blue series Engel to the Yeti if you want a true comparison. It should be no surprise that the prices match as well as the coolers capabilities. This is a $60 cooler/dry box as it states.
