The upside: you chuck a screw driver bit in the drill then latch the rest of the device to that. It is a quick attachment to drill with counter sink and depth stop, then a quick detach to drive a screw in. If this was being used solely in a drill, it might be ok.The problem: because of the quick attachment for the drill portion, it wobbles a lot until the tip of the bit is on or in something. At that point I don't have confidence it is being driven straight. I'll be using this partially in a drill press and don't feel the desire to start pressing the drill before turning it on.Also, there is a set screw for the drill bit and counter sink. If that isn't really tight, it will drop (or throw) the bit. The depth stop is a separate set screw on the opposite side. The depth stop gets in the way of the drill's set screw, so if it is thrown in the middle of the process you have to loosen the depth stop to get at the drill bit screw.I'll be returning these as my issue with it is a design problem.

Does it accomplish the job? Yes. Is it a joy to use? Absolutely not. The driver end you put in the drill is a stupid design. No one is going to drill the countersink, take the whole thing out of the drill, and then use it like a screwdriver. I get that they wanted it to be quick release, but it's so sloppy and causes the entire assembly to spin unevenly. To change the drill bit end, the collar has to come off, and then another set screw has to be undone. Then you have to pay close attention when reinstalling so that the set screw seats in the hole, and holds on the flat side of the drill bit.The worst part about the set up is that the collar adjustment is a set screw into soft aluminum. So every time it's used, the aluminum channel gets marred. Making fine adjustments now over a marred set screw surface is nearly impossible. At the end of the day, it works, but it also sucks. If you only need it for one or two jobs, it's probably fine, but don't expect this tool to have any longevity.

My partner is always complaining about problems with having something stripped out or needing to re-thread some thing so I figured this would be a great gift. He was super excited to get it and he says that he likes the quality he is not had a chance to try it out yet, but overall it looks like good value for the product.

If you have any projects where you need to flush mount some screws then this is a great kit! It included everything I needed to get going except the drill of course. I love that it's all in a little plastic carry case too so I don't lose any of the pieces. This is going to come in very handy and make countersinking screws much faster than the way I was doing it before.

The Enertwist countersink makes it easy to quickly place very neat countersunk holes in wood. It also allows the user to set a specific depth and to choose between five different sizes of drilled center holes. It is much quicker and more accurate then drilling and following up with a countersink when using a hand drill. The drill bit, depth collar and the countersink are all held in place with set screws (Allen wrench included). One set screw holds both the drill and countersink in place. It is a clever design that allows the drill bit depth to be adjusted by only slightly loosening the set screw. Fully removing the set screw allows the countersink and drill to be removed and replaced with a different size. The set screw that locks in the depth tends to make the collar height move a little as it is tightened. This tendency can be overcome by carefully centering the set screw in the indented slot of the main tool prior to tightening. If the fasteners used require a #2 Phillips screwdriver, the countersink tool has a quick release that leaves behind a Phillips driver bit. Another cleaver idea!Tool build quality is decent. The tool body is anodized aluminum, so the much harder steel set screws leave shallow indentations every time they are tightened. The set screw threads are cut into the aluminum body, so eventually the threads will wear out. However, if treated with care the tool should be able to countersink a lot of holes before that occurs.

This little set is a big time saver. Produces nice clean counter sinks. The adjustable depth guide is fairly accurate. The unit does wobble a bit when you active the drill, but if you start with the drill bit touching the wood surface that your drilling, it solves the problem. Some commenters have not liked the silicon rings, but I think they're great. Keeps you from accidentally marring your project with the metal housing. Definitely recommend.
