Compared to the older lanterns that are just battery powered this lantern this one will blind you! We used to use one to a room of the old ones during power outages. With this rechargeable lantern we can set just one on a tall object to light up the kitchen, living room and hallway. With 3 light levels it's easy to choose the intensity needed for the room it's used in.

Great design and its puts out some light! Will be perfect for camping and when the house loses power. I bought each of my adult kids a lamp. Solar power with battery back-up. A must have for safety.

I like it a lot because it has several ways to charge it…such as a charging port or regular batteries, and also solar. It’s a lot of light and you can just slide it down and the light turns offI would buy another one for a friend or relative !

Short and very bright light. Super easy to open to turn on and close. Love the solar, charger, or battery operation. I recommend for power outages also.

I absolutely love this lantern that it also has a rechargeable aspect and it also takes three AAA batteries if you wanna just run off of battery power it also has a small solar panel on the top of it to charge it if you want to go that route definitely a great product.

This has a built in battery that’s rechargeable. But if you put in AA disposable batteries it uses them before the rechargeable battery! Energizer wants to sell batteries! So just leave them out and only put them in if the rechargeable battery is exhausted.
