I don’t do reviews. Ever. But this endoscope is flipping amazing. I downloaded an app, plugged it into my phone and bang! Perfect light, perfect camera view, loads of cable which was nice and flexible, and surprisingly good app with loads of clever features. Phenomenal value for money, 12/10.

This is my third endoscope. It works pretty well on my iPhone but I noticed that the connection can have issues if I move it around too much. It can also be hard to hold the phone and endoscope the same time while trying to get the endoscope into tight spaces. I tried looking behind my washer machine and it was difficult to keep everything balanced. However if you have an extra person to help it wouldn’t be that bad. Some of the endoscopes are wireless which solve this problem and others have a phone mount built in. Those are typically more expensive so for the price this one is great. The image quality is good and it’s semi rigid so you can form different shapes with it. This can be useful for getting into tight spaces. However if you don’t rest it against something it can be very shaky and the picture will be tough to see. The retrieval tools provided are basic but useful if you drop something that’s metal or has a loop on it. I would recommend this endoscope if you aren’t looking to spend a lot and don’t mind connecting it to your phone.

For a long time my tub drain has been getting worse and worse until it simply won't drain at all. I could not figure out why. I tried to snake it and it still won't work. I even went out and bought a $40 professional snake and still no success. So I ordered this and dry vacked the water out of this end of the drain pipe and sent down this endoscope to have a look see and I found the problem. Seems there is a tree root that has infiltrated the drain pipe and it simply got bigger and bigger. So knowing what the problem was I was able to get a wire saw and snake it down the drain and it took days to do but I was able to free the tree root and clear the drain well enough to run the snake the rest of the way to make sure that is also clear. Some where down the line I will probably have to dig up the yard but for my tube drains and that is thanks to this camera. My alternative would be to hire a plumber who would have gone straight to digging up the yard costing who knows how many thousands of dollars. This is a wonderful little diagnostic tool. It was easy to use. I highly recommend it.

As we seek to add things to the walls in our bathrooms, we couldn't really see what was behind the drywall. This tool helps so much. The cord is long enough, the images are clear and we are able to avoid plumbing and electrical lines (and see where the studs really are, since the previous owners made that difficult, even with a stud finder). Definitely recommend for hom DIYers.
