Works great. I knew the used Mercedes from Carmax was partially painted. This gave the same consistant readings repeatedly. RePainted area read from 0.24 to 0.30mm , whereas non-repaintet was approx. 0.16mm. Traded the car in on another used Carmax car, but not before going over it with this paint depth reader. Reads between 0.14 and 0.16 mm on new car throughout. Don,t spend any more money than you have to.

Wanted to check my car paint thickness, and indeed it is insanely thin. No thinner on my car than most though. And checking the thickness of PPF is kinda handy.

This thing works perfectly to sync it or calibrated it's very easy just press the power button and the top right hand side one.The directions are terrible all you do is you first do that metal piece without anything and then add the films to it and it'll calibrate itself
