I use this with a Wyze thermostat, installed transformer at my Ruud/Rheem air handler in place of OEM part, IIRC I had to drill one hole, and it all fit well enough.Wyze thermostat working well now. Didn't have to connect up blue C wire to thermostat. Seems to take power to run the thermostat from the Rc/Rh red wire without needing the blue wire. Was surprised by that. Other Wyze installs I had to connect up that blue C wire. Note that OEM transformer is only 40mVA so this one provides extra juice to run the electronic thermostat.

Installed on an older AC/heater unit and working good so far. Great price compared to other ones I found online. The leads are long so install in the old unit was easy.

As long as you've got the room in your workspace, this transformer is easy to install with two sheet metal screws (not supplied). Nice that you have input voltage options from 120 to 240 (using clearly colored wires) depending on your line voltage. Output is ~24 volts (measured). The 60 VA rating allows you to run multiple 24 volts systems (like an HVAC stat + zone panel) without worries of stressing the transformer or heat sinks. Additionally, there is a built-in breaker easily accessible via a rocker switch built into the transformer. So if your 24V system goes offline, this is the first and easiest thing to check. The only thing to be alert for is the size of this unit. Because of the 60 VA rating, the entire part is larger than a lighter duty part. So if you are replacing a part with a lesser VA rating (e.g. 35 or 40), be careful of the clearances in your workspace.Amazon offered competitive pricing vs. other electronic/HVAC supply merchants. Overall, this part is highly recommended if you've got the space. It is made in China, which makes a difference to some buyers.
