Will not work on Windows 10. And if you install on virtual machine like vmware, midi is disabled. The work-around is to use a dual boot system with Win 10 on one drive and Win 7 on the other drive. All of the Dummies titles work fine on Win 7 this way.

A little difficult to figure out how to hook up. Had to use you tube to get it hooked up correctly. Love it now that it works correctly!

I bought this Item before Christmas Break and When i receieved it, I got a guitar for dummies for my second disk. I tried returning it, but they would not accept the return because it was opened software. Would not advise dealing with this company.

Was very easy to connect to laptop. Having the interaction helped tremendously as it enables you to listen to how the piece is supposed to sound. Also the grading/scoring aspect added a game type challenge which really grabbed the attention of my teenager. We are both learning to play. I would recomend this product to anyone who wants to learn to play socially without the expense of private lessons.

If you got this as a gift, open it and check it before you give it! Bought this as a gift for my mother. Good thing she saw it in the mail so opened it early rather than wait. Disc 2 of the set is "Guitar for Dummies - Disc 2" instead of Piano. Returned to Amazon for replacement. Just received the replacement today and it is the same problem. I am returning this to Amazon for refund rather than try again. Obviously is a problem with the manufacturer. Too bad tho, really wanted this item. Not sure if I will try other eMedia software after seeing a few other recent reviews with technical issues. Excellent service from Amazon- as always.
