Works fast and is quiet. Not sure how much air it pushes, but it’s better than without a fan.

Really a super little fan for a wood or propane fired stove that don't have internal blowers and the added bonus of the temp gauge that comes with it makes this a very cost effective investment against the competition!

They don't move much air and quite work after using them for a few minutes till they cool down.

When I saw this, I HAD to have it! (Already reviewed another model.)I have used a woodstove to heat my house for almost 45 Years. By nature, a stovetop is an empty place in your home. Finally, something nice looking to fill that space. This fan uses a Peltier cooler. You usually find them in DC iceboxes in cars where you put in power and 1 side gets hot and the other cold (icebox), In this case, you put heat on the bottom (stove) and cold on the top (open air). This act produces electric power to drive the fan. High technology on a wood stove! To test the fan, I put it in a cast iron skillet and sat it on my gas stove. Before long the fan started turning and the speed greatly increased as the pan got hotter. (I stopped when the pan began to smoke.)This fan is smaller than the last one I reviewed, but the top heatsink is rounder and more elegant looking. An added bonus is that it comes with a magnetic temperature gauge for the stove. (Never had a gauge in 45 years.)Don't expect this to distribute heat through your house. The fan is just trying to pull enough air through the heatsink to keep it cooler than the stove.
