I bought the same ones a year ago but the product received isn't the same anymore. Back then they had an aluminum body and grilles on both sides of the fan. These ones are standard plastic which would be okay, but have the grill only on the motor side, the side with the fanblade is open and you reach right into the blade. Returned. Airflow as expected, noise is okay.

I use these 40mm 3 speed fans for cooling my JBL Soundbar 9.1 as sometimes the soundbar would get hot and turn off. I plug them into the TV USB port with a 5' extension cable so the fans turns off when I turn off the TV. Do Not Use the JBL USB Port, Not made for USB fans.Fans are very quiet even on 3rd speed.I gave 5 stars.

I used to order these all the time for my art projects. They USED TO be strong and reliable, but recently with my orders I wasted $20 on 2 weak fans that barely work. The low setting barely blows any air and it barely different then it being on high. These were a waste of money and ruined my project. They decided to change the power of the fans because people complained about the noise.... fans come with noise no matter what... its such a lame excuse to change the power of the fan. can people not concentrate with the blank noise?? really?? They have lost a long time customer with this decision and they dont care... IF you want it lower, theres a low function for a reason... now these fans are useless from how WEAK they are from how they used to be. Sad and pathetic.

I use them to cool off electronics. Just plug them into a USB hub and they’re good to go.

Using these two vent out heat from both an Xfinity cable DVR box and my mini ITX sized Home Theater PC that are in a glass cabinet. They happened to fit perfectly in the wire holes already cut into the back of the cabinet.Warning: if you require complete silence these are not for you. Even on the lowest setting they “whir” so beware. Overall very effective at pushing air out of an enclosure cabinet. These would be good for a PS5 or XBOX that are enclosed in an entertainment console.

Using this for a Vive Wireless Adapter to keep it cool. There's a thingiverse design for a similar dual-fan product which I haven't printed yet, but I'm excited to try it. The fans themselves work well. The noise level is a little higher pitch than I expected, though. I worry that this might be a sign of the fans being roughed up during shipping or something like that, but they work really well and are cheap, so I'll use them until they fail. Not much else can be said about this product. It's 2 fans with a long cable and a switch. It's easy to power and easy to find a use case for.
