The reviews are accurate and it is much lighter on the side that faces you. I love that lighter lighter look! It is not for everyone, but I am very happy with them.

If you read the DESCRIPTION it says it is sewn backwards on purpose

I'll be returning these, unfortunately. I saw the other review saying they were sewn wrong, but I thought I'd give the seller the benefit of the doubt. If you want to hang curtains with the backside of the fabric showing for some reason, then purchase these... otherwise, look elsewhere for kitchen curtains!
