This dehydrator is pretty neat. I got mine last month, and so far its been working well. It can reach temperatures from 95F to 158F which seems like a good range for most things you'd want to dehydrate. The stainless steel trays are nice too, easy to clean and all that (though i did bend one of them trying to fit it in the dishwasher - my bad). I tried making some beef jerky with it last week and it turned out great! I also like how it has a fan for even heat distribution; helps keep things from getting burnt. The only thing I don't love is that sometimes the air flow can be a bit noisy, but its not too bad.Overall, this food dehydrator does what you need it to do. It's easy to use and makes good quality dehydrated food. My one complaint is just the noise level, which can get annoying after a while. But hey, at least I don't have to worry about burning my jerky anymore (which happened more than once with my old oven). If you need a solid dehydrator for your kitchen, this one should do the trick. Just be prepared for some occasional fan noise. Oh, and watch out for those bent trays in the dishwasher, haha.

I got this mainly to make jerky for my dog as the store bought stuff has loads of extras in, and it’s expensive.I’m not sure I’m saving $$ everyone loves the jerky. Steak, Pork, chicken, all disappears very quickly. I used to marinade for the humans, but then I stopped encouraging them!Good buy, easy clean, easy use and not huge.

I don’t use as often as I had hoped but when I’ve used it I’m very satisfied with the results. Is not a huge size , and that was a plus for me with limited storage. I have dried varieties of home grown herbs such as basil, thyme, Greek oregano ,rosemary and have more than filled my jars . This was also excellent for button mushrooms. I purchased when they were on sale and dried them. Great for soups and gravy’s. This machine was very quiet and temp control was good. I think it was a good value and a a space saver if you’re looking for one with a smaller foot print.

I have primarily used this to dry homemade pasta. It works great for that. On the middle area of heating pasta is dry in about 2 hours. I have also used it for herbs. I put sage and basil in it overnight on the recommended herb setting. The sage was done in the morning. The ball took another 6 hours. I like that it compacts. It's not as good as some of the more expensive models but works better than the old round ones people had in the 90s.

Works excellent. Quiet. Heats accurately. Adjustable height by turning trays to sit correctly against the plastic couplings if you look. Works well.

I really, really want to like this dehydrator but I'm going to return it. It's struggling to dry onions. And by struggle, I mean it's been since 3PM Saturday and right now is 6 a.m. on Tuesday, running non stop on the highest setting. The onions are still mostly leathery. To be clear, yes, I sliced them thin, I've used different dehydrators for many years and know what I'm doing.Besides it's struggle to dry food, it's toy-size. I guess this is Shrinkflation at work so they can keep the price down or something, but this is EZ bake oven size and while it's a nice looking little unit, it doesn't hold much and it shouldn't take days to dry a few onions. It was a gift and I hate to return a gift, but I will put it's return price and add to it to buy a larger unit that will dry things in hours as it should, vs. one that takes days. This can't be good for my electric bill, and if I had a lot to dry, the rest of it would be rotting while I waited for this one small batch. Dang :(

Alright, so you're thinking about diving into the world of food dehydrators, and you want the real deal, no sugar-coating. Well, buckle up, because here's the lowdown.Let's start with the big picture. Does it work? Yep, it does. If you're looking for a quick decision, go ahead and make that purchase. But if you're curious about the ins and outs, here's the scoop.First off, let's talk cleanup. Brace yourself because it's not the most glamorous part of the process. It's like you need a mini cleaning marathon after every use. Maybe it's my culinary prowess (or lack thereof), but dismantling and cleaning this thing takes more time than I'd like to admit. If you're all about quick and easy, this might irk you a bit. Now, onto the results. It's a bit of a hit or miss. The temperature control is on point, especially for lean beef – it comes out like jerky perfection. But, and this is a big but, when I tried throwing other foods into the mix, it turned into a bit of a gamble. Some things come out awesome, while others, well, not so much. Maybe I'm still learning the ropes, or maybe it's just a finicky machine.Speaking of trying different foods, experimentation is the name of the game. Lean beef? Ace. But venture into the unknown, and your results may vary. Fruits and veggies seem to have a steeper learning curve. It's like the dehydrator and I are still figuring each other out.In conclusion, if you're all about lean beef jerky and don't mind spending a little extra time in cleanup land, go for it. But if you're dreaming of dehydrated pineapple or apple chips every weekend, be prepared for a bit of a learning curve. It's not foolproof, and the results can be a bit finicky. But hey, that's the fun of the kitchen experiment, right?
