I bought this item primarily to use it as an enclosure for other BLE trackers. I know that it's designed to accommodate name brand Airtags (and with that use-case, it's plug and play), but with some simple soldering, it can also be used to dramatically extend the battery life of Tiles and other generic Airtags. The build quality is top notch, complete with a rubber seal to prevent water ingress. I love it.

I'll check back in 10 years, but the kits are well designed, carefully engineered and should last a long time. They were easy to setup and bolt. The hard part is opening up the Apple devices. That part was hard - I mean very difficult.I had to use two pairs of pliers to grip the top and bottom half of the Apple AirTag.I just couldn't separate them by hand. Then, you discard the cover and battery, laying the AirTag in the holder. It fits perfectly, too.It connected to my iPhone immediately.I tested them inside of some high value locked cases made of wood and had no problem tracking them. The cases are a little bulky, but I was able to attach them with double stick tape. The larger surface area helps make attachments easier.CONS: I would rather used lithium batteries made for longer term storage and take up less room, instead of conventional batteries, which I worry may leak in warmer climates.

This is an excellent solution for someone with AirTags stashed all over the place! It got really old doing the rounds of changing the batteries in the AirTags for all my camera equipment and luggage. Batteries are supposed to last "up to" a year, but I'm typically seeing just 6 - 9 months on average.Enter the Elevation Labs battery pack. This device promises a 10-year battery life for your AirTags for just the cost of a pair of AA batteries (plus the device, of course). I don't know yet if I'll get the full 10 years, but saving me the trouble of disassembling my gear every few months is well worth the gamble. These are very easy to assemble: just remove the backing off your AirTag, remove the coin battery, and install the main unit directly into the battery pack, add a couple AA batteries, and seal it up for 10 years with the included screws and Allen wrench. Tip: use the "long shelf life" alkaline batteries, as a minimum. For even longer life (and to reduce the risk of batteries leaking or corroding over time), upgrade to "lithium" batteries.I ordered extras of these (the 2-pack gives a good discounted price) and installed them deep inside my luggage and backpack where they will be hard for a thief to find and impossible to get lost. Bonus: they are the exact dimension of the space between the two legs of my luggage handle, so fit perfectly inside the bag. With a little 2-sided tape, or one of the install kits offered by Elevation Lab, and these are "in there for good"!So far, I give these guys full marks for a well-designed and easy to use device that has the potential to make a huge difference down the road. I'll check back in after 5- and 10 years to let you know if they're still doing the job, LOL.

The product is well made and holds 2 AA batteries that they say will keep the AirTag going for years. The products engineering is very good.

Full instructions included, but was very easy to install Air Tag anyway. Good build quality. Great for prolonged life of Tag and protect from elements.

I do really like this product overall, especially the waterproof gasket and use of 4 hex screws to secure it together tightly. I can tell this was a thought out device - the one thing I am surprised it does not have is a carabiner style or keyhole style cutout added somewhere to the device so I can clip this to things like the inside of my duffle bag, stroller, etc. Add a way to clip this product onto things, and this would have a perfect 5 star in my book! That being said, I don't think the lack of this should prevent anyone from getting one today and finding their own solution to attach it to something.

So far it's great if it changes i will update review. Basic airtag or Samsung tag only lasts couple months in vehicle at -30 so this is great idea. Seems well built. Too bad I haven't noticed that 2 pack is better value. I got mine ask as singles. Waiting for company to make Samsung version of it

I recently got my hands on this device that not only securely holds an AirTag but also extends its battery life to nearly 10 years, and I’m genuinely impressed. Setting it up was a breeze—it’s straightforward and hassle-free. Once installed, it works flawlessly, keeping my AirTag running for years without the need for constant battery changes. The design is sleek and practical, and it fits perfectly in my bag without adding bulk.If you’re tired of replacing AirTag batteries frequently, this product is a game-changer. It’s reliable, convenient, and an excellent investment. Highly recommended!
