We have this item installed, but unfortunately, it is not working right. We think it has something to do with the GFCI on this outlet and the outlet on the other wall or other end of the wall so we are gonna move it to a different location and see if it works.

Replaced an existing GFCI with this item in my kitchen to help with counter clutter. We are able to use the USB-C ports to charge devices, saving on the need for power blocks and leaving a standard outlet available for Slow Cooker/Air Fryer. We now have extra power blocks for travel and use elsewhere in the house. Great product. Highly Recommend.

I have other popular brand USB outlets installed in my kitchen and garage. They are convenient. They aren’t the fastest. I wanted to install a USB outlet in my guest bathroom but it had to be a GFCI outlet and I didn’t want another slow USB permanently installed. I was thrilled to find this one. It has a nice clean look. It includes USB-C and a higher output USB-A slot. Power supply is quick and plentiful for both USB, devices charge up in no time. The ground fault feature gives me peace of mind while using USB near water. My one initial concern was the single 110v outlet. But so many personal grooming and other small devices chargie or are powered by USB these days I always had an adapter occupying one of the outlets anyway. Now with fewer outlets, I can charge or power more items simultaneouslythan before. Safer, tech/teen friendly, less clutter and much neater appearance when in use. Installation is simple but should only be done by an experienced locally licensed electrician. Be smart be safe.

No major difference in this compared to other outlets with installing or in its use. Everything seems to be working like it should.

3 1/2 starsThe outlet has 2 USB C ports and one AC outlet. It was very easy to install. The USB outlets charge like USB A – they are not fast. My husband surmises that this keeps heat from causing a fire inside the unit, obviously a good thing. We have had mixed success with charging using generic cables. These cables work with other generic chargers and the devices we tested. Some things charge, some don’t. One tablet cycles charging on and off in less than a minute. The reset button works. One thing I dislike is that the unit has a green light that is on all the time that it’s working instead on a red light that only comes on when it isn’t working. I can just turn it off when not using it, but that’s not convienient.

Easy to install with well written instructions and includes even you need. I tested the gfi functionality and it works fine. Because this is designed to conform to existing standards there was no issue fitting this into the existing outlet box. My kitchen outlets are deep set due to the tile so I simply swapped the screws that came with it for the ones in use in the outlet I purchased the 20 Amp box which was required for my kitchen wiring. This outlet features 2 usb-c running at 24 watts (max) and while I did not measure the power output I can say it works just fine powering my I-devices. The outlet is also tamper resistant helping keep objects not meant for the recepticle from being inserted . I really appreciate that I'm able to use this in my kitchen freeing up counter space on our island. I would say this is about as deep as the outlet I replaced so I believe there should be no sizing issues. The cover included with this outlet did not match our current covers so I just placed my old one on this to keep the look consistent. I also feel like this is a great price when compared to alternatives I've seen in retail hardware stores.

I measured the GFCI outlet and found it's approximately 1 11/16 inches deep. I noticed its faceplate doesn't have holes to secure. Instead, I see it has a clear plate that fits between the outlet and the faceplate. I can secure the clear plate with two screws, and I'm able to snap the faceplate onto the clear plate. When I look at the back of the faceplate, I see directions showing how to snap it onto the clear plate, with an arrow and the word UP next to it. At the bottom back of the faceplate, I read PRY OFF SLOT, which tells me I can remove the faceplate by prying it off at the lower edge with a flat head screwdriver.I wish this receptacle had two AC outlets instead of just one. I don't believe it was necessary to sacrifice one AC outlet for the two USB-C ports. USB-C outlets are smaller than regular USB ports, and I can see there would be enough space to fit both two USB-C ports and two AC outlets. I feel this would have made the outlet more practical for my needs.I discovered six stickers labeled GFCI PROTECTED OUTLET to mark additional protected outlets. When I examine the receptacle, I see the UL listing on top. I found the installation instructions to be in clear English, and I was able to follow the steps without confusion or guesswork. I notice the outlet gives me the option to either use pig tails or push the wires into slots. I prefer pig tails as I believe they're safer since the wires are held tightly by screws.I chose to install the outlet with the USB-C ports on top, as I didn't want the grounding hole to be at the very top. I can see the USB-C ports are class 2, 5 volts with a maximum combined amperage of 4.8 watts, totaling up to almost 15 watts. I note the receptacle is built for 125 volts and 15 amps. I observe the abbreviation TR on the AC outlet, which I know stands for tamper-resistant. When I performed the tests outlined in section 8 of the installation, I encountered no errors. I can see the green LED is on, and when I press the TEST button, I see the power goes off.At the bottom of the package I read it’s made in China and manufactured and exported by ELE Group Co., Ltd.
