These jars are useful as well as lovely. Making my own vanilla. The mixture has to be shaken once a week. The lids fit great so I can give the mix a good shake. I have one left over and will use it as a vase.

I am so happy with this purchase. My kitchen started to look unorganized including inside of the cabinets with all sorts of grains and legume etc. left in plastic bags (yuck). Plastic is so bad for our health as well for the planet, so I decided to purchase some large jars to store food in. The Mason Jars showed up quickly which is awesome. I am impressed that none of the jars were broken, due to excellent packaging. I bought 2 packs with 6 in each. Now, my kitchen looks a little better :)

I love the size of these jars which is great for larger storage of food and the blue color is really pretty when they're empty but when filled with food look kind of odd. I used one to put brown sugar in and the blue color makes it look like dead sugar. I tried poring the rest of the brown sugar in a clear glass jar and it looks like brown sugar should look. So, if you're buying them for a gift, it makes a pretty gift and the blue is beautiful, but............ if you're gonna store food you may just want to use clear glass large jars so you can tell what is in the jars.
