OK, figured it out. In order to rotate the landing gear orientation, you would need to insert a 1.5 mm Alan into the landing gear pivots. By loosening, both sets screws and rotating the gear you can go from horizontal to vertical. Should be noted, there are no instructions included with this and took quite a bit of trial and error to try and figure it out.
