I used this unit a maybe 10 times last summer(2023), but the system had various issues with performance. If you like changing parts and repairing things, this item is for you. Battery failed and was replaced, rocks damaged impeller and finally got it replaced, controls went bad and were replaced. Now motor has apparently gone bad, awaiting replacement. Their customer service shuts down in the winter. Replacement parts take about 1-2 months to arrive, so you probably need to buy two units to keep one working.It helps if you are mechanically inclined.Goyojo has improved their customer service, they apparently closed down last November-March. Now they respond within one day. They sent me replacement electric controls and an impeller/diverter and instructional videos. The diverter/impeller unit got damaged when a rock got sucked into the intake. This unit should never be started in shallow water, (under 2-3 foot deep), as it will suck items into the impeller and damage unit. This was not mentioned in owner's manual. Also, they may now include a link to a video on how to start riding the unit.Before you purchase make sure the place you plan to use it allows for electric motors, many lakes ban gasoline motors but allow for this electric one.
