I may boil 200 eggs and pealing by hand takes sonectime. With thus machine it takes about 10 minutes. Yes it does tare some of them up. Those are the ones I just salt and eat right then. The rest I pickle.

I was very skeptical about an egg peeler. But I peel about 400 quail eggs a week.Instead of taking several hours to peel eggs, now it takes me about 25-30 minutes to get 400 quail eggs peeled.I still lost a few with this machine.I think it was my fault, not understanding everything yet.Once I figured it out I was off like a Prom Dress.I would definitely recommend getting one of these egg peelers if you do a lot of quail eggs.I pickle about 30 dz. a week.

We bought this machine because we wanted a faster way to peel quail eggs for canning. Well goodbye slow peeling by hand and welcome to the faster way.Pros - Machine it well built and seems like it will hold up for a good amount of time.It peels the eggs so easy if you follow the directions.Takes 1/10th the time to peel quail eggs now.Cons - NONE so far. Just buy the thing if you want to peel your quail eggs faster.

Had an issue with the motor, see below. I have to say the manufacturer is fantastic. They replaced the bad unit and we are using this great machine to easily peel boiled quail eggs. We had a home made hand cranked unit I made that worked well, no motor to burn out, but this is so much easier. Peeled almost 500 eggs in no time!! Great customer service. Thanks for all your help Vera!!This thing is great! We boiled a huge batch of quail eggs and were going to have fun making pickled eggs in different flavors. Bounced the eggs around between 2 pans to fracture the shells after boiling them, put them on the peeler and it worked like a charm.......for about 4 min. Eggs were coming out left and right nicely peeled, life was good!!!!Then the motor just stopped, done, burnt motor smell. I am sure this unit was the 1 in, I don't know, 300 thousand?..million?....figures. My bad luck I guess. Going to send it back. Back to using my home made manual peeler.

I saw this demonstrated on Living Traditions Homestead and was so intrigued. This is wonderful for peeling boiled quail eggs. Literally 1-2 seconds per egg! Now if someone could invent something for chicken eggs!

I love this egg peeler a lot! Makes it soo much easier to peel the eggs. I'm no longer standing peeling my quail eggs for a long time. I can peel a whole bowl full of eggs in like 2 minutes. Totally a game changer! Well worth the money to purchase especially if you eat a lot of quail eggs. We have not purchased any chicken eggs since our quail have started laying eggs. This machine saves me a lot of time to do other things. And it's quite fun to watch these shells just peel off. I also like it cuz I can dry out the shells and feed them back to my birds...awesome! Cleaning is also a breeze. I spray rollers with kitchen cleaner and rinse JUST the rollers off under faucet. Put the plastic thing in between rollers and put away. Easy peasy...
