it didn't work? and then sometimes it works and now it does not. It works great when it works. I wanted to change the rating from 1 to 5. Bcuz it works. There is a safety mechanism there. I have to hold the trigger for 3 seconds and then double tap to get out of the safety mode. It works great. Thank you.

This is one the best pruning tools I have found so far. Much easier on your hands than manual pruners. Cuts pruning and shaping time in half. Very easy to use in tight places where a larger tuner will not fit. Comfortable to hold and has both a grip and safety feature. It has a light on it too, which is nice for thick and lower shrubbery cuts. Easy on the battery too. A really wonderful tool.

These are some pretty sweet laughing shears. I love them, because it allows my wife to be able to help me trim trees without hurting herself. They are very durable feeling, and the battery lasted me for probably about an hour of intermediate cutting. They cut a lot bigger of a limb than I expected them to be able to handle. The blood is very sharp, and I don't really have any complaints. I also like that it uses my dewalt batteries or at least that style.

Overall: durable tool that is a real buy at this price point.Proved to be durable over a weekend of pruning. Tool has some heft to it. Not tiring in the least.I like the large trigger guard and the way the trigger sinks into the body. Having said that, turning this tool on takes some getting used to: install battery; pull and hold trigger for about 3 seconds; release trigger and wait a second; then pull the trigger a couple times. The tool will eventually (and unmistakably) turn on, and you can get to work. If you take a break, the tool automatically deactivates after about 15 mins of non-use. To turn the tool off, just pull the trigger (closing the blades) and hold for a couple seconds. It'll beep, and the blades will stay closed.Guard is wide enough for a couple of big fingers to stay inside the trigger guard with gloves. Easy enough to lop off whatever gets in between the blade when the trigger is pulled. Easy on battery, made about 300 cuts and didn't lose a battery bar (5 Ah 20v Max DW battery). As others have said - just buy it.

This works really well pruning my big rose canes. It definitely does what it supposed to. I gave it a 4 star rating because it's so annoying when I want to use it, I have to hold the trigger for 3 seconds and then after the beep, you have to press the trigger to get it going. Ugggh, I think I don't do it right sometimes so it doesn't open. Idk, I know it's a safety thing but it seems a bit annoying!! But once you get it going, it cuts well.

These are AMAZING! I bought this for a family member who has arthritis in both hands. She loves gardening, especially her roses. Her arthritis made it difficult and sometimes very painful to use pruners for any amount of time. Then I saw these online. These sheers are not DeWalt brand (although they seem like DeWalt quality) and do not come with a battery. They are designed to work with a DeWalt or a DeWalt type battery. Since I have all DeWalt tools, this made it a perfect choice for us. And I was not disappointed. She now enjoys what she loves so much without any discomfort or pain. It is a very strong tool and easy on her hands. I also tried them myself and I was amazed. They cut limbs like butter. Just remember, this is a very serious tool and you must treat it as such. There are safety features built in. Just remember to remove the battery when cleaning the tool and put the tool in a closed, safe position when done. Never store tool with battery attached. The instructions are clear. These are designed to cut limbs "up to" 1 1/2". I would not recommend trying to cut anything larger as can damage the tool. We normally don't cut anything thicker than 1" to 1 1/4" to be safe. You also get an adjustment tool, oil, sharpening stone and an extra blade with the tool. This tool should last a good long time if you follow the instructions and take care of them. I know there are other products out there which come with their own battery, but for us, this is perfect. Just know, you will not be disappointed with these pruners.
