I bought it to grind up cashews because a mortar and pestle takestoo long. I am not supposed to eat peanuts and such because of the small pieces don't get chewed up.This product does everything Ineed it to do and I pulse it over and over for 10 or 15 minutes at a time no problem . So I am completely satisfied with this grinder

My initial assessment right out of the box was that it probably wouldn’t do a very good job grinding up dried spices as fine as I wanted it to, but it surprised me. I purchased it to grind up Montreal steak seasoning. For those who have used it you probably know it’s an amazing spice to add to steaks going on the grill since the big chunks typically fall off, but if you add it to a steak after that it seems like every single bite crunches between your teeth. I was able to grind the entire 3.4oz bottle to a fine powder in under a minute without any overheating or sign of distress. One word to the wise is don’t blow in it to break up residual powder or you might nearly go blind like I did. They included a cleaning brush which I didn’t see until after, but it wiped out easy enough with a paper towel. The only downside is that it was annoying to turn on. For safety their is no switch and you have to put the outer cover on and push down similar to other spice grinders. I thought it was broken at first because I couldn’t get it to come on at all. I had to push down a lot harder and wiggle the outer cover, but once it started it was easy to maintain.

i honestly don't see this thing working on coffee since it could not even ground rosemary very fine
