Did not cut sheet metal it wouldn’t cut paper if it could it is junk. Do not buy tried all different gauges of sheet metal. I don’t think it would be able to cut a aluminum foil.

It does not fit on standard drills (tried on Dewalt cordless and Makita cordless). When I did kind of get it attached to a drill all it did was make a mess of the metal; there was not cutting at all. Definitely did not work as advertised.

Purchased to cut metal roof panels. It cuts flat metal but struggles with the ridges in roof meatal and won't cut them on an angle at all.

Will hardly cut very thin tin siding, pamphlet states it doesn't cut over ridges, but this thing won't cut a straight line on smooth sheet metal, (18 ga.). Don't buy it unless you just want to donate money for this Chinese made piece of junk.

My husband was pleasantly surprised by the performance of this tool considering how reasonably priced it is. It was very easy to use and got the job. Done quite well. The only drawback instructions are not very clear. However, if you are a handy person you won’t have any problem with it. We didn’t. It was sharp enough to get the job done.

The drill style shown in the illustration is a home owners handy battery drill not meant for serious use. I haven't owned a battery drill like that with a small battery pack in the handle in over 40 years. I was able to adapt the bracing rod of the cutter to my DeWalt 20 volt with a hose clamp but the battery pack at the bottom of the handle would get in the way of the metal being removed. I found that if I maintained a sweet spot angle and ran it at a slow speed could control the rig and cut the metal fairly straight. Had I a drill without the battery at the bottom of the handle it would have been easier to control. The cutter did cut the galvanized decking with ribs at 9" centers well length wise, perpendicular cut was a challenge to cut at the ribs but it did do it, I would suggest rough cutting perpendicular cuts and clean up with snips.Take into consideration that my comments are from a person with 50 years in the sheet metal trade.

I bought this to cut metal siding. It comes with instructions but they are pretty poor. But really, the pics in the instructions are definitely enough to put it together. There are "extra" parts in the box, I am assuming for different types of drills? We used to cut the siding with a cut off wheel in a skill saw. It worked but was messing and sparks everywhere. This took a little getting used to but is a great little tool.

This must be for a foreign drill, because it didn't fit well on any of my Dewalt drills. Even after getting it cinched down, it doesn't cut straight at all. It does cut very well, but controlling the path is almost impossible. If you're shedding metal just to shred metal, this is perfect. If you're wanting a straight cut, pass on this one.
