I used this to dethatch my lawn. Probably 5-6000sqft worth. Took me a while but this worked very well. Great value for the price. I wish the bag were a bit bigger.

Worked surprisingly well to remove miss from our yard considering it is electric powered. And the price was reasonable. Would definitely recommend to others.

I was excited to try this machine as my lawn has been having issues the last couple of years... scarifier and dethatcher all in 1 machine... great! For the first 10 minutes, it did what it was supposed to do. It looked like I was going to get my lawn back. I has visions of a lush green lawn that would be the envy of the neighborhood. I was picturing my neighbor's wife laying out on the lawn, sunning herself as I brought her some ice-cold lemonade to quench her thirst. It was going to be a great summer (at least until my wife found out). The machine was easy to put together and very lightweight. When you push the on/off button and pull the handle back, it really takes off. I was using the scarifying attachment since I knew I had to get to "root' of the problem. I had it set on level 2 and it seemed to really get at the roots and dead thatch in the lawn. It seemed to be a little touchy with the handle - if you let up even just a little, it would shut off and you had to push the button and pull the handle again. Not a huge issue, but a little annoying. At one point I had to stop so I could position it to go around a tree and that's when I noticed what seems to be a burning smell. I looked underneath thinking maybe the scarifying blade was bound up, but it was spinning freely. Then I started to smell along the matching and when I got to the chord, it was very strong. I unplugged the extension cord from the machine and noticed that the outlet of the extension cord had melted. I looked at the machine's connection and one of the prongs was black. I used a heavy-duty 12gauge 100ft extension cord so that wasn't the issueAnother positive - I had 6 wheelbarrows full of thatch after only about 10 minutes into my front lawn. So up until the point of the electrical issue, things were good

I haven't used the dethatcher, only the scarifier and works like a dream. Not very loud; it sounds like a vacuum. I used it on my 11,7000 ft and held up well. Very happy with this machine. The instruction manual is not good; it's hard to see clearly. Easy to build though.

I used to rent one from the big box store at what $60 odd, then you have to rush to get it back, lift it up and put of the truck twice, remember to fill it back up with gas, and so on. Pain. Then I hired it out, but that was about a hundred a pop. This thing is very light, collapses down by a really good amount to tuck away until the following year. It does as good of a job as the one from the big box store, have to deal with an extension cord, but that's minor compared to servicing a gas one.Easy to put together, it seems pretty durable and decent quality.10/10 would recommend, the value cannot be beat

This dethatcher is just what I needed. It arrived well packaged and was quick and easy to assemble. I needed to swap out the scarifying blade for the dethatcher and found changing blades was also easy and quick. I also really like the power of the electric motor as it doesn’t bog down or have any trouble with the thickest thatch on the deepest setting. It worked really well on about 3000 square feet of grass and pulled out lots of thatch and dead grass. The amount of thatch it pulled up was amazing. Ended up just using a riding mower with a bagger to pick up all the thatch. It is much lighter than I expected, but that was a plus as it is easy to move around and store. I have rented dethatchers in the past, but this unit did every bit as good of a job at removing thatch. The lack of the mess of gas and the pain of constantly having to charge batteries is a big plus. The only thing I wish was different was that I had gotten the wider one. The 13” wide one is a bit small on larger lawns.

I received the package and everything was well packed. There were the main body, 3 metal bars, and 2 bags of hardware. It was very easy to assemble. The dethatcher came with the scarifier blade attached. Since this is my first time using a dethatcher, I didn't know about the blade style so I just wing it and it did a pretty good number on the grass. The density of the grass was reduced by at least 50 percent. Lucky for me though the patch of grass was under lots of shade so it should recover pretty soon. After the initial mistake, I swapped the dethatcher blade in and ran the second patch of grass. It pulled a lot of thatch which was very good. But unfortunately, the collecting bag only filled half full so I had to stop and dump that after just one or two passes. Not very convenient! So I just left the thatch on top of the grass and later used the rake to gather them together. The body of the dethatcher is very light which is great to work with but it doesn't allow the steel hook to pull the thatch up. It popped up when it hit the hard patch and you had to go over the same area multiple times for the hook to work. Not bad at all, but I think it will work better if it's a bit heavier.I also tested the scarifier blade again in the backyard. I had to remove the grass along the fence line to lay down river rocks. I set the blade to the deepest level, 5, to basically cut down to the root of the grass and dig the grass up at the same time. The motor struggled a lot since the dirt were wet and the grass was pretty thick. I fed the machine slowly through the path and managed to cut down and remove the grass. Pretty awesome machine.
