Works really great. Heats up fast and gets very hot. Only downside is that the shaft of the iron is a little long and makes it a little hard to control when trying to position it correctly. I think it would be even better at half the size.. but overall would recommend it.

Had been waiting for a rhinehart iron and it never showed so after amazon gave me a refund I decided to try this as I couldn’t wait any longer to get my goat kids done. This iron did a fantastic job. I love how it shown the temperature right on the side. I did 3 goat kids with no issues. Of course I wont know how long it will last but for now right out of the box it was fantastic. Super budget friendly.

I never bother to leave review, but this item is great! I don't know about longevity, but straight out of the box, it works really well. It gets HOT fast. The tip literally glows red. I just disbudded 6 Boer bucklings (3 of which I should have done last week) and it 100% got the job done. Like I said, it got up to 1150° within 5 minutes, didn't have to wait to reheat between babies and it's easy to use. I personally like the pistol grip. It's much lighter weight than a rhinehart, hotter than gas dehorner and it just flat works. I do have a disbudding box which definitely makes it easier, but I have probably had 4 different brands over the years and this is my favorite - at a fraction of the price. Hope it lasts. I'm going to order a 2nd as a back up.
