The thermostat fits perfectly onto the wall plate. The color also matches the Nest. I wonder why Nest doesn't have a stock wall plate like this that comes with their thermostat already (instead of the ugly white rectangular plate)?

Worked great when installing our nest. It is flush with the wall and doesn't jostle around. I was able to use the side screws without the nest face popping off, which seems like a common issue with the standard nest plate. I love that it matches exactly the color of our nest!

Colour matched, good fit. But it's still just a thin bit of plastic. Holding it in my hands, I don't feel like it's worth 25 dollars.

My previous thermostat was a square box so I was a little worried that this wasn't going to be big enough but it is exactly big enough to cover the previous markings on the wall. My previous one didn't have a whole lot more real-estate space than my nest. If you previous thermostat is a lot bigger than the Nest, this might not work for you.Good quality plastic. Good enough for this purpose. I didn't try but you could probably bend it if you tried but perfect for it's purpose. Was easy to install. It sits behind the Nest base during install so either install them at the same time or be aware that you will have to remove the Nest to install it.I got this because my neighbor has the Nest and used the rectangle cover that comes in the box. I can't handle the different shapes so I figured Amazon has to have something that is also circular. So glad I got this product.

This plate works perfect for my Nest Learning Thermostat 3rd Gen. Made of good quality plastic with nice matted finish similar to the Nest cover.I have to get a cover because the previous rectangular thermostat left an imprint and a big hole in the wall that the round Nest thermostat by itself cannot cover up.The wall-facing side of this plate has a recess space that accommodates the square metal plate included with the Nest, such that when the former is placed on the latter, the former would sit nicely flat on the wall, without any gaps. That square metal plate that comes with Nest is optional, but it is useful for adapting to the old drill holes on the wall rather than having to drill new holes. So, if you are lazy and want to reuse your existing drill holes by using the Nest square metal plate, the buy this plate, because it will work nicely together with that.Initially, I actually bought the POPMAS cover also on Amazon for my Nest instead of this elago one. That POPMAS plate is super high quality and full-metal and coated with super-nice _ceramic_ coating. However, that POPMAS cover unfortunately does not have the recess space in its wall-facing side, and so if you use the square metal plate underneath it, there will be a 2-3 mm gap between the cover and the wall. The POPMAS plate would sit nicely flat on the wall if you have a drill lying around and can thus drill new holes for it.I'd say if you can drill new holes and thus do not need the Nest square metal plate, go for the POPMAS cover instead of this elago one, because the POPMAS cover is way nicer and higher quality (it has a "super-luxury feel" to it) for just a bit of a higher price.But if you need to use the square metal plate from Nest, then go for this cover. It is quite nice too and does the job.I ended up having to return the POPMAS cover and buying this elago one instead because I don't have a drill around my place.Here is my photo of this elago plate:
