I ended up not using this for my project only because it wasn’t needed. The quality was great and looks to be easy to sew in.

I purchased to add a pearl buttons down the back of my wedding dress. I had no problem with the loops breaking or unraveling. It was easy to work with and there is more than enough to do the dress all the way down the skirt if I’d like lol.

I am using this to attach half of a zipper to a bird cage. I will then zip the cover to the zipper. It was fairly easy to attach to the fabric area of the zipper. Occasionally the sewing machine needle would catch one of the loops and pull them through, but overall I am pleased with the result. I was using a heavy duty needle. if you were using a more typical, lighter weight fabric and a thinner, sharper needle I suspect it would not pull through the loops.

This button loop looks good and works fine except when you want to cut it. I was using a small segment and had great difficulty in keeping it from fraying and falling apart where it was cut. I tried hand sewing through the end to try to secure it, but that was very difficult to do and not practical. I wished I had had some "Fray check" to seal the end. That might have worked. In desperation you might be able to seal it with clear nail polish. If you were enclosing the end of the button loop in a seam of a dress you were sewing, that would safely seal it, but I was adding it to a wedding dress by hand to provide a pick up for the train.
