Disposable petri dish made of high quality, transparent polystyrene plastic. Sterile. Triple vented lid to allow for airflow and discourage condensation build-up. Ideal for applications requiring better gaseous exchange or evaporation. Petri dish is packed individually in polyethylene bags and sterilized by radiation. Non-toxic, multifunctional and ready to use. Excellent for general laboratory applications, including cell culturing, plant germination, precipitate drying and solvent evaporation, home or classroom science experiments, crafting, small storage solutions and more.
Dish measures 35mm (1.4 inches) in diameter and 15mm (0.6 inches) deep.

These are small, but very clearly marked as such in several places. My own error had me ordering these that were too small for my project but perfect for another one I had! These are all individually wrapped and I had 3 extras in the bag. All were intact and well packed also. Some slight bubbles in the plastic, but that happens.

I am actually fine with the small size of the dishes, it is exactly what I was looking for. However, the top and bottom connect loosely - for lack of a better term, really, since I cannot say that they actually 'close'. So whatever you need to use them for, they will not close.Also, they arrive individually wrapped which is (to me, at least) an incredible amount of plastic waste.

I bought these quickly and didn't pay attention to the size listed. One of the photos shows someone holding a normal sized Petri dish, so I never thought about it. Wish the name said small/mini Petri dish in the description.
