Designed for use in professional laboratories, but is an ideal choice for science classrooms and household use. Autoclavable, with superior chemical durability. Low temperature gradient- can withstand high temperatures & thermal shocks. Eisco Labs Borosilicate glass has the following heat tolerances: Strain Point -515°C | Annealing Point 565°C | Softening Point 820°C.

My project required a 6mm diameter rod, these were 7mm. If the diameter is not a requirement, these are excellent rods.

Five stirring rods had the tips broken off because of the way they were shipped. They were wrapped in paper without any bubble wrap and then placed in a plastic bag. These are GLASS rods. Why would anyone not take the time to wrap these properly before shipping them? The seller needs to replace the broken ones!
