I had got my radio from a pull a part. And it was locked but I bought this and installed it as soon as I got it finally got my radio unlocked to use this. It works amazing! It knows exact location! If your oem one is causing you issues get this this is perfect for either new radio replacement or oem style is not working properly!

I used this for Sync 3 in my 2014 F150. The first antenna I bought did not work. My compass would often tell me I was heading east when I was really going west, and Apple Map would show me miles away from my actual location, etc.I bought this to replace the first antenna and it worked immediately. It had my location locked down perfectly, and when I went into a parking lot and did figure 8's the compass responded immediately with the correct heading and apple maps tracked me going the right direction.

Regardless of what people say about this unit, it does not work correctly with sync 3 upgrades. It will throw a navigation fault error and work intermittently.The Nav-Upgrade site copies this picture and they link this unit as the correct unit around the web. But sell you another one for a rip off price that does work.The one that does work is sold right her on Amazon for $5 more - Xtenzi Active GPS Antenna Auto Car Stereo indash Radio Compatible with VW Audi Navigation Receiver – XT91835That one works perfect! Get it here instead if rip off sites taking advantage of you.

I installed this under the center dash speaker in my 2016 Explorer when I upgraded from SYNC 2 to SYNC 3. Bought the SYNC 3 module from a small Michigan based company, they pulled it from a 2017 Ford Edge, it was compatible with my vehicle, they pre-programmed with my VIN. I wanted Navigation, so it required a separate GPS to plug into the computer. This installed well, be careful removing any trim if you are using it for this application. I would buy this again if I was doing any other module upgrades in future vehicles.

This solved my error message I have in my Ford Raptor sync 2 to sync 3 swap. Was also to now have the correct time and GPS. The kit I had GPS just stopped working and this was a perfect fix. Worked instantly.If you’re having this issues this should solve it.

I have used these for many Sync 3 conversions and they work correctly. I have had one DOA and they really just are low build quality. I keep using them because they're cheap and they do work.
