I use this for making hard-boiled eggs. It does a great job, eggs come out perfect and easy to peel. Doesn't take much time to set up; much quicker than conventional hard boiled egg preparation.
Big Disappointment

I ordered this egg shell opener just to easily peel hard boiled eggs as demonstrated on tv commercials. Two dozen hard boiled eggs later over a period of time, I have not been successful in peeling the egg as demonstrated on tv. No matter how hard or gently I try, the clamps dig into the egg and pull the egg into two pieces. I hope you're more successful than I. I didn't try, but assume it probably works on raw eggs.

I like this item a lot. I haven’t tried it with hard boiled eggs yet, but I’ve used it several times on raw eggs. It doesn’t always deliver a whole egg, but I don’t have to dig out eggshells anymore!

My wife and I saw a vedio of this and thought it looked slick and useful so we purchased it. It comes without any instructions and we can't figure out how it is supposed to work. We can crack a raw egg but see no advantage over just cracking it the old way. We could never figure out how it is supposed to take the shell off a hardboiled egg. In short it is not a good purchase. I would recommend not purchasing.

All this does is rip the egg completely in 1/2. I was really hoping for a product to help peel the shell off…. Even just a little. Total ripoff. Maybe it would work for raw eggs, but my kids crack eggs on their own and it’s not worth saving. These unfortunately will be going in the trash
