Works fine. The lock and unlock feature is useless.I had to open it and cut the two wings that lock the center part, then worked better.

Wow. It’s so simple but it works sooo good. Don’t be afraid. Go ahead. Poke a hole in your egg’s butt. Boil it. Marvel at how easily it peels now. This is a simple product - or it should be. It should just work. It's a needle with a simple spring in a housing. It doesn't work though - not how you think. I mean yes, it still pierces the egg, but it's inconsistent and the locking mechanism is basically worthless. It does not make the unit safe and it only makes the actual function of it worse.Skip this product. It's cheap, sure, and for what you're looking to do (peirce an egg) you don't wanna spend more than a couple of bucks - trust me, I get it. That's why I bought it. A needle will do the same thing, or any number of alternatives. This one is a waste of $4, it just doesn't work well at a task that should be so, so easy.

I used to use these a very long time ago. They are easy to use. Decent quality and the cost was pretty good. I like that these lock so you can’t get punctured while thumbing through the draw accidentally.

So easy. One poke, great for even hard boiling. Poke each end for blowing out hollowing eggs for Easter dye. Needle slides smoothly.
