Absolute game changer. Been using pvc all my life until a buddy told me about pex. Single digit temps wrecked all our pvc this winter so I ordered this kit from Amazon. So much quicker and easier than pvc. No mess with the glue and primer either. I’d give it more than 5 stars if I could. The crimps were very easy to use as they stayed in place without sliding before I could get them crimped. Worked just fine in tight spaces under the house too.

I used this product to finish a kitchen project and bring water to the bathroom. I am working with new construction and chose pex because I have used it in the past. I never have purchased the crimp tool because of the cost, locally it is 100.00. I assumed ordering this kit that I was getting a plastic knock off of a working tool, thats not the case. This tool is made of heavy metal and is going to be serviceable for years. The cutter is sharp and cuts straight. When you work with pex it causes issues to have a cutter that cuts at an angle, this one did not. The blades are not interchangeable but if you use it enough to fill it, I guess I’m ok buying another one. The joint pieces are of slightly lower quality than what you get at Lowe’s but they did not lack in function. I didn’t have any leaks and it is all working as it should. I live off grid and was using this pipe to come from a holding tank of water. I was pleased that the pipe walls are of the same strength that you get from Lowe’s and that there was no collapsing from the pipe or fittings under pressure. I have my water also going to a on demand hot water heater and I had no issues attaching the pex to the inlet provided in the hot water heater box, it was a plastic fitting. I also connected the pex to some fittings that did not come with this package such as a vevor diaphragm pump and had no issues with the functionality of the clamps or the seal. I see no issue with buying this set over the available supplies at Lowe’s. Overall I feel it’s the same quality and serviceability. This product also came a day early, it went to my neighbors house, but honestly I’m lucky that Amazon will deliver to where I live at all being 10+ miles off a dirt road.

Installed a long desired spigot in garage. Paid about the same as a plumber but next couple jobs are free, have the experience, supplies and tools. Windy rolls are good for long open runs to save connectors, but straight sticks are worth it for short open runs. Either way the pipe flexes a bit for curves and turns. A Dremel works to cut crimps where you need to tap in. Think about placing the crimp and room to use the tool before cutting pipe, confirm fit is snug and hold while crimping. Only works with these thinner crimps, but a lot cheaper than big name tools.

Happy with the product great starter kit but you will likely need more elbows and t connectors not enough provided for the amount of line and a standard 2200 sq ft house lower replacement no problems with any leaking lines cut and was easily straightened wish it would have came with c clips to hold to frame but not complaining tool worked flawless no crimps broke and cutting tool was sharp. Hope this helps anyone looking to get in future nice set up overall
