These stainless steel braided hoses with zinc-plated fittings are a replacement for the Original Equipment (OE) rubber hoses. They meet the DOT (Department of Transportation) MVSS-106 guidelines and are for stock applications. These brake lines provide firmer, more responsive braking by reducing excessive brake-pedal travel, which is caused by the expansion of the rubber lines. The kit consists of 3 lines that make the brake line change easier.

Installed these SS line's along with a Hydra-tech cast-iron MC#8114 to get my brake's operating better on my rig. These brake hose's made the pedal a lot firmer, the rig does stop faster an harder the more you apply the brake pedal, feel's just overall better in braking performance. Power Stop disc's an pads, fresh DOT-3-4 fluid flushed threw-out the whole system. Whole system was completely bleed. One note*, is the rear line is just a tad short. You can order the skyjacker individual line that is longer, or use the 4 inch rear SS Russel line from a 4 inch SS brake hose line part# 695700. I ordered both Russell SS brake hose kits just too be sure on the rear hose travel length, it should be fine for my rig, since it came factory with the smaller 245's R16 tire's.

I got burnt, the front hoses are way too short for a K2500 8600GVW. Other wise they look like good quality.

Typical high quality from Russell however, the rear hose is shorter than the factory hose. This causes a problem (without first modifying the factory mounting) when the rearend is at full down position.
