Very poor workmanship. Would have expected significantly better quality from Edelbrock.

I used it on an Edelbrock performer 289 with an Auto-Lite 4100 carb. Cured the vacuum leak issues with this intake and carb combo.

I have an Edelbrock 4 barrel mated to a Holley Street Dominator intake on an 83 Dodge 318. The aluminum intake had a bad habit of boiling the fuel in the carb after parking the truck, and this insulator fixed that.

After installing a 9906 ( 1406 Refurbished ) Edelbrock carb on my small block 350, it ran great, with the exception that it wouldn't start when the engine was hot. It would just crank over and over but wouldn't fire up. After much research, I decided to try this Heat Insulator gasket before I started messing with the float bowl levels, and I'm glad I did. I believe this is a common issue with the Edelbrock carbs, but after installing this spacer gasket, my car starts up immediately during a hot startup. Anyone having issues as I described, I highly recommend you give this a shot before you start tearing into the carb.

does what it is supposed to do -- insulate carb from intake heat. Problem with material is is bonds with heat to the carb and the intake. So this makes it virtually impossible to remove and resuse as the material pulls apart. So, if you put it on make sure you do not plan on removing it later. Pretty expensive for a one shot usage.

Had a fuel percolation problem with an Edelbrock 1406 4 bbl Carb.Live in Phoenix , problem started one day last month at 116 degrees. Fuel boiled even tho engine temps were normal on temp gauge and on laser temp gun.All fuel boiled out of carb causing car to stall.would restart after cooldown or by pouring some fuel or spraying starting fluid into carb. Went on line to Edelbrock site, found this item ,purchased same.Like all Edelbrock products they perform as stated. Also replaced fuel pump, all lines from pump to tank, pump to carb(edelbrock specific parts), Tank dropped cleaned out and strainer replaced, Carb dialed in by Chuck's Speed Center in Phoenix, who also performed all work . After it was finished it sailed thru emissions check. Now it's again the sweetest running 87 El Camino in AZ.Thanks to Lance Carsten @ Chuck's Speed Center. OH Yea! Forget about calling Edelbrocks tech help line. It's a waste of time. Their Products are great,However
