Amazon to the rescue! Why do pendant designers think we want to see a cord hanging from the ceiling! We searched everywhere for nice pendants that used a down rod. The pendants we loved only had an ugly clear cord. The light store was ambivalent about being able to special order down rods. So I searched Amazon and found these. We used a 12” screwed into a 6” rod to cover 18” of cord. Luckily the rod threads fit the ceiling plate of the pendants we had. This includes two 12” and two 6” rods, so it works for two pendants that require 18” of down rod.

We were installing three pendant lights that designed to hang by cord/chain, a look I didn't want. We were able to use the 1 set of down rods per light and the lights looks fabulous. We had seen a review that said to use care as the rods might bend easily when assembling, we were careful and didn't encounter any issues.

I ordered this ECUDIS Pendant Stem Extension Rod Kit to replace a couple downrods that were damaged in an existing install. This is a convenient kit as it comes with two of the most common lengths of downrod used in lighting fixtures so you can replace as needed while match other existing light fixtures. The advantage of having both common lengths of downrod is that they’re usually combined in lighting fixtures that are sold. In other words, a lighting fixture will usually have a long and a short downrod, for whatever reason. So if you have to match an existing installs you have a better chance of visually matching the existing lights. This kid also comes with everything you need, downrod wise, to do a full install of a new light, should you choose to do so.Cautionary note, these downrods tend to be made of soft metal, so make sure not to over tighten as you will strip them out. That said these downrods appear here high-quality and look nice installed. If you need to make repairs or replace existing downrods, I would highly recommend this kit.

This was exactly what I needed. I have been looking for a down rod for a while now for a light that my neighbor gave me for our stairway. He was throwing it out, but it still worked. I just needed to replace some old wires. The only problem is he used it without the down rod. So when I saw this kit I thought it was worth a try. The standard size for these down rods appears to be 3/8" , so it threaded on perfect. The finish is very nice, kind of a brushed nickle or stainless steel. there are male threads on one end and female threads on the other end of each pole. Although I don't need the included angle adapter for this job it is handy to have if needed.I recommend this kit if you have the standard 3/8" size threads..
