I love everything I've seen from ECR4Kids, and this is no exception. It's very sturdy and easy to build with help - it's made from solid wood and isn't difficult to assemble, just sometimes needs more than one set of hands. The instructions are clear and easy to understand. The cubbies are on the small side, but they do make bins that fit perfectly, and it's an ok size for preschoolers. This would be great for daycare centers.

I have seen shelving units like this one in the Montessori school that my son used to attend as well as my daughter's elementary school. But it's also great for home use. You could use it to store shoes, children's toys, or just about anything else you can think of that needs to be organized. It was obvious as soon as I opened the box that the wood used for each piece is much nicer than similar shelving units you might find at places like IKEA. It took me a while to put it together, but once it was assembled I could tell how sturdy it is. This shelving unit should last for years. I'm so happy with the quality that I plan to get another one.

I was surprised and impressed when I opened the box; the quality of the wood and even the hardware is much more than I was anticipating, notwithstanding the price point. The assembly took a bit of time, and a bit of extra time because I put two of the uprights on backwards. (Better instructions would have reduced the assembly time by about half.) But the time was well spent because this unit is super sturdy and the hardware keeps all the pieces snugged together. This is not a large unit, but it is quite heavy for its size, indicating good quality laminated wood. The wood has a nice smooth finish and an appealing blonde tone. I got this for our new shop to hold small tools and woodworking jigs and fixtures, but after it was all assembled, it looks so nice, I'm having second thoughts. My husband also thinks it's too nice for the shop and suggested I use it in my sewing room. I'm going to give that some serious thought.

I wanted this shelf for my pottery studio! It’s the perfect size for my smaller pottery pieces as well as bottles of glazes! It was extremely easy to put together. And it’s so much more sturdy than I thought it would be. It’s very stable! And it looks really nice! Would be great to put books on as well!
