Unlike a standard classroom chair, seats that rock, tilt, and swivel allow freedom of movement and encourage good posture and alertness while learning. These seats feature a built-in storage space to keep small supplies, reading books, and water bottles within reach. Designed for everyday use in schools, homes, or offices, these functional and colorful stools are a fun way to provide extra seating in any learning space. Continuous small movements help engage the body and brain, aiding concentration without distracting others nearby, while also supporting balance and coordination. The lightweight and adaptable seat is the perfect grab-and-go stool for taking the classroom indoors and out. Quickly and easily rearrange workspaces to create a dynamic collaborative environment between students or use for individual work study. This wobble stool features a latex-free rubberized base that helps keep the seat in place on hard or carpeted surfaces and a perimeter safety ring that creates a natural stop.

I already had the 18" wobble stool, so when I had the opportunity to try this style, I was excited. It functions the same as the original design, but has a small space in the middle to keep items like toys if at home, or supplies if at school. It isn't going to hold a huge backpack but younger elementary kid size backpacks probably would fit as well as using for lunch bags, or even a pencil case or coat. Definitely love this new feature and its versatility. The storage area doesn't affect the function at all, other than creating a sort of foot rest. In my opinion that just makes it a little more challenging and better for developing balance overall.

This is a great chair. We use it for my ADHD/ASD son when we need him to sit “still” in a specific area… he uses it in his school room, at his play table for play doh or board games, at the table for meals, etc. I love that it’s not heavy and he can take it to whatever room he needs it in at the time or we can even transport it with us. It’s also extremely easy to clean and is durable so can be used indoors or outdoors. The size is perfect for him (he’s 6 but more the size of an 8/9 year old) it’s a little big for his sister still (she’s 4) but we’re looking to get one in her size as well. I’m extremely happy and would highly recommend.

I am so thankful to whomever developed these stools and to ECR4Kids for making such a quality product. These are durable, easy to clean, and a blessing. My six-year-old is perpetual motion. She has trouble being still and can't seem to focus without moving her body. Her teacher recommended looking into these ECR4Kids stools. They have them in the classroom and when our daughter gets antsy, the teacher lets her use one. We wanted one at home to help with homework and reading. This stool has been amazing and life changing. My child can focus for longer periods of time and move her body in what I can only describe as unconscious movement. She will sit and read to herself or us for longer stretches as well. It is like her mind has always wanted to do these things, but her body would betray her with its need for movement. This particular stool features an open design (the traditional one is closed all the way through). The open design allows you to store things under the seat (legos, pens, pencils, etc). For our daughter this is a homework chair so we keep her pencils, markers, highlighter, etc. that are only used for homework in the bottom. It is just amazing!

ECR4Kids is a brand I’ve loved for over a decade, and their wobble stool doesn’t disappoint. The 18” height on this stool is perfect for a standard height table with an adult or older kid (age 10ish standard height child?), or a lower student table size for a younger kid. From my experience this past month it’s popular with everyone that comes over from the 8 year old crowd to the 18 year crowd in the kid range, and I have to admit that I (undisclosed age!) also enjoy it!It is not tip proof, if you try hard enough you can take it over. As my sons like to demonstrate over and over. In regular use, however, it has just the right amount of wobble for staying upright.I like this “storage” version because the bottom lip height also functions as a perfect foot rest height which adds a new level of balancing fun. From an actual space perspective the storage area isn’t huge, picture a medium adult size pair of Crocs and that’s a decent visualization of the space you’ll have to work with. 10” the one direction, 8” the other, and 2” deep.Love the blue color, it’s a pretty true dark denim blue type of navy. Not so dark that it’s boring, but not obnoxiously bright. The pebble textured finish of the seat top will keep scratches from showing up as much as they would on a flat plastic. The only “con”, is that the chair is VERY HARD if you sit on it for long! Which is to be expected given it is all made of a hard plastic. The lip on it is such, however, that standard barstool round cushion cover fits great.

My kids love it. One of them is going to break their neck on it but they love it. We use these stools at their pediatrician so I knew it would be fun to have at home and it certainly is. My kids are ages 3 years to 6 years.

Ok this has been an enormous hit in my class! My students love this seat and have taken it upon themselves to create a system to take turns sharing it. I love flexible seating options, especially those that offer a sensory option where students can move a little while still sitting at their desk and working. This chair offers everything that I could need. Not only is this chair a sensory chair because it wobbles a little so the students can balance on it with their core, but it also has storage underneath so they can put materials they are not using right at the moment and water bottles down there for easy access. The desks in my classroom do not have any storage in them we only have cubbies. So this chair offers the option to have a little personal storage space at the desk. I thought in this model chair myself several times throughout this week and I find it more ergonomic cool and comfortable than the other wobble stools that I have in my classroom. I would definitely recommend this stool option for any classroom with students that need a little movement while at their desk especially for students with any kind of ADD or ADHD. This still really helps have a little sensory movement and stay on task. It is comfortable to sit on for long periods of time, and it has storage which is a huge bonus. I will look into options from my school to order more of these tools. I also love the color options I have the light bluish turquoise one which matches my classroom to four perfectly! It also comes in other colors to accommodate different classroom needs or just to spice things up and have different colors in your classroom based on what students are interested in color wise. This is a great stool! I am very excited to have this in my classroom.
