Does not fit, dimensions do not allow for slip on fit

Great product. Installed one side one Saturday and the other side the next Saturday. I did weld them in. Grand kids getting in and out of the truck would catch their shoes or cloths on the rusted metal but now the area is smooth and looks good with the store spray can matching paint. You will have to drill the holes for the threshold covers because the piece can be positioned forward or backwards to suite your needs but that’s not too hard to do. Would buy again.
Out with the old, in with the new.

I am using it to fix a rocker panel on an old ford ranger. It will be perfect to cut to size and mold where it needs to. Good for custom work. Thanks.

I am happy with the purchase and the product, but only four stars because it could have been so much easier and faster to install with more thought from the manufacturer... That is, another 8 inches in length and pre-cut slots.Your rust out may not be as severe as mine, so this first issue may not apply. The pieces are formed well, but were too short for my restoration - both the front and the rear.I used rounded head pop rivets to fasten the pieces, but panel adhesive or spot welding of course would work just as well. The first 3 pics show the front part, how short it was, and what I did. It wasn't difficult, just a bit of work. The fourth pic shows the rear of it. It wasn't actually very short, but I wanted it look somewhat like the original, so I added a 1/2 cylindrical piece of metal and used a bit of body putty to pretty it up.Pics 5 One thing the manufacturer should have done was provide cutouts for the two factory parts that require them. There is little leeway as to where to position these panels, so "allowing for a customized fit" is no excuse for their absence. I used a 3/8 drill bit and elongated the holes (necessary for expansion).Pic 6 Very easy to rivet the bottom edge on the vehicle.A little body putty and sanding probably are not necessary, but I was going for a from-the-factory look, so I did it. I also gave the back side of the new panels a nice coating of rattle can undercoat prior to installation. Then a little more after the install for good measure.Pic 7 Finished project. Rattle can primer and color coat, topped with some professional grade clearcoat I had left over from a previous job, and it's all done.I think it looks as good as new. You wouldn't have to do nearly as much work if you just wanted to make your rust out disappear, but that choice would be yours.

What a great idea and what’s there fits great…but a little more metal would have covered everything and I wouldn’t have to patch little pieces in !!
