Please make sure to clean everything before installation, and it does not bring the M5 flanged locknuts, you will have to buy them or reuse them from your old molding installation, for the rest it is a simple install, thanks!

Pros: excellent application and appearance; great aftermarket upgrade; easy installationCons: You will need to provide your own nuts - I used 8mm ones (10 count); the weatherstripping was trash and was not used

Looks great. No issues with the fit as others have said. You will need the nuts from your previous part. There are 10 of them and I only had 7 so I'll be taking one of the bolts to the hardware store to buy another 3, but it's secure enough without them for now.The weather stripping is my only complaint. There's no instructions on how (which angle) it's supposed to go on and the adhesive is awful so you might get once chance. I had to just trash it and will probably order one from toyota. First of all let me start off by saying that I thought I was getting a real good deal by purchasing this aftermarket hood scoop. Now I realize that the old saying you get what you pay for really applies here. From a cursory look the hood scoop looks exactly the same as the OEM on the FJ. But once you try installing it one realizes that the tolerances with which this piece of plastic were molded are off substantially.First of all if you measure the side metal brackets that hold the corners in place you’ll realize the brackets which are supposed to be recessed and hold the corners flush don’t quite fit correctly because the plastic mold is incorrectly fabricated. On top of that the bolts on the end are all bent and of a different thread type. So effectively the corners don’t quite sit correctly flush in place.Second the bolt and plastic grommet alignment are also off slightly. Enough that you have to fight with it to get it to attach to the metal hood frame. Or in my case I had to modify the alignment to get it to fit.Third as I said the plastic mold for this hood scoop is slightly different than the original but it isn’t obvious until one tries to install it. The edge of the hood scoop where the the weather stripping attaches is not correct so attempting to install the weather stripping is really a futile attempt and it really never sits correctly or in my case you just chuck it and throw it away cause the weather stripping will not sit flush against the hood as it was designed to do.Now if you’re like me, you probably have a hood scoop that is partially held in place with missing hardware (bolts and nuts). And it probably flaps in the wind. So expecting this new hood scoop to be a great buy I removed the old one and trashed it in the process. While installing the replacement one I found all these problems mentioned previously. I initially thought about returning this item but then realized that I would end up having to drive my FJ for maybe a month until I could get an OEM hood scoop. OEM hood scoops are not cheap (around $300) and the lead times are long depending on the color you want. So I decided to spend the time modifying the new one and putting it in. I will eventually replace with the correct one from the factory OEM because I don’t like the way it fits although it is hard to tell from a distance. My recommendation to all is to spend the extra money and purchase an OEM hood scoop and not have to go through the stress of modifying the aftermarket ones.

Product arrived quickly and in good condition. A couple things could be better.1) they don't include the nuts to mount the piece. So save the nuts from your old unit if you can. The studs at the ends are a different size than the inner studs. I believe they are 12-32 threads, but I couldn't find them, so I used a 12-24 nut, so it's just cross threaded on there.2) there's no instructions included; what you should know: apply the weatherstripping before you mount it on your hood.Other than that, it was very easy to install and only took about 15-20 minutes.

The product fits great, looks great. Comes with no hardware, just the studs that are molded in the unit. The outside studs on the unit are a different size than the original (we have a 2007 fj Cruiser). I could not find the correct size at the auto store, so had to force a slightly different-sized nut on to hold it secure. Also, the trim that comes with it is impossible to get it to stick on, so I just did not attach it.
