I am so pleased with this popcorn maker, I'm just sorry I didn't buy it earlier. I've tried several other popcorn makers in the past but this is the best. It is so easy to just pour your kernels into the lid to get the right amount, then pour into popper, then microwave. You don't have to add any oil and if you time it right almost all of the kernels pop with this design. You can eat right out of the popper however I put my popcorn in a bowl then put melted butter on it there to keep clean up of the popper to a minimum (just a swish of water most times and it's clean.) If you're feeding a large group it wouldn't make enough but it's perfect for one person. Highly recommend.

I decided to keep this popper even though if you fill it too much, some of the popcorn does burn. I use the popcorn setting on the microwave. It is a good item and I just put less popcorn so it does not burn.Easy to use and clean. Great way to pop fresh popcorn. For health reasons, I avoid butter and salt.

It’s super easy to use—just add kernels & salt and within minutes, you have fresh, hot popcorn. I like that you can also add butter to the top of the popcorn maker and the popcorn comes out light, crispy and yummy. Cleanup is effortless. It is dishwasher safe. If you’re a popcorn lover, this is definitely worth it. Highly recommend!

Alright, popcorn lovers, gather ‘round because I’ve got the scoop (pun intended) on the Ecolution Patented Micro-Pop Microwave Popcorn Popper! We snagged the 3-quart aqua blue version, and let me tell you, it’s the MVP of snack time—perfect for whipping up a big, glorious bowl of popcorn goodness. This little gem is a breeze to use, whether you’re Team Oil or Team No-Oil. We’ve taken it for a spin both ways, but honestly, we’re obsessed with tossing in some flavored oils—think garlic or truffle vibes. It’s like a gourmet party in your microwave! And here’s the best part: no burnt kernels, even with the oil. Total win!Cleanup? Oh, it’s a cinch. A quick rinse, and you’re done—none of that scrubbing nonsense. The lid’s got this handy-dandy measure built right in: one scoop for a solo snack, two scoops if you’re feeling extra munchy or sharing with your crew. The glass has this cool protective layer from the bottom up to the middle, so it feels sturdy and safe. And the handle? Doesn’t even think about getting hot—grab it straight out of the microwave like a popcorn pro.We loved it so much, we’re grabbing another one for the guest suite. Because who wouldn’t want to treat their friends and fam to this popping perfection? If you’re on the fence, hop off and grab one—you’ll be popping with joy in no time!

What a nifty popcorn popper! We had another one that managed to vanish somehow. We'll find it eventually, but in the meantime, I've been craving popcorn as an easy snack. After running this through the dishwasher it was ready to use. The ingenious cap is great. It serves as a measuring tool for adding the right amount of kernels, plus you can automatically melt butter onto the popcorn as it pops in the microwave.I've only used it once so far, and will have to adjust the popping time as I ended up with too many unpopped kernels. I went lower instead of higher on time, as I don't care for the smell of burning popcorn. Adding 5 to 10 seconds next time and we may be golden on time. The slight add of butter for flavor was perfect. Not too much to throw off the calories, but enough to add that subtle hint of taste enhancement.Cleanup is super-easy in the dishwasher. It stores well in one of our cooking stew pots to keep it safe from bumps. The protective silicone around the glass also works for safety, but I don't mind an added layer of guarding from breakage. This is one of my favorite kitchen accessories for food prep over the past year's time. Will be used again and again. Fresh, hot popcorn in under three minutes - what's not to love?

This is such a fun product. Works like a champion in the microwave - but you do have to watch the timing closely as the popcorn can burn in seconds. I love this unit and would buy it again! Solid and good quality product.

We use “mushroom” popcorn. The name indicates the SIZE of the kernel not where it came from. Our microwave is a cheaper type of unit. 1100 watts and MOST IMPORTANTLY has a rotating platter. I mention that because so many reviews are negative in the use of this popper.I have now used this new popper almost two dozen times and it has performed incredibly well. Each time I use it I get the same wonderful popping experience that I did before. I do understand the negative reviews and may even agree with a bunch of them. Here is what I’m doing every time I make a pot of corn.1. When using Mushroom Popcorn I allow the kernels to almost cover the bottom of the pot.2. I always put a good chunk of a stick of butter (3-4 Tbs.) in the lid and then I salt the heck out of the butter.3. I set the microwave for 3 minutes and I stand by until the popping slows to one pop every 2 seconds. NEVER STOP THE PROCESS!We have NEVER had a bad batch of popcorn. It always looks like I put too much butter and salt on top of the lid but it has always been perfect. Excess butter and salt is distributed on the insides of the globe and if you decide that you want more salt on your popcorn then all you have to do is to swirl the popcorn inside of the globe. Soooo Yummy!Last but not least! DO NOT clean by placing into a dishwasher. HAND WASH ONLY! Putting the popper in the dishwasher could allow other dishes to touch the globe and the pressure of the water in the dishwasher is powerful enough to just vibrate the popper against the pegs of the washer racks, causing the delicate glass rim of popper to crack and chip. The popper is delicate and should be handled in that way. Carefully.I am NOT disappointed in this little popper and with a little attention paid to the delicacy of my popper I expect it to last for a long long time.NOTE: It’s been almost a year since the purchase. We continue to use the heck out of it. Average use has been 2-3 times a week or more since we received it. (We love popcorn) As of today 8-12-22 the popper is in good of as when new. Never have popped a bad batch of corn yet. We LOVE this popper.2nd NOTE. Now at 3 years old and we still use it quite often and as of today it works as good as it did when brand new. I have noticed a tiny bit of fracturing around the plastic handle area due to repeated use. The unit does get really hot during the popping part and consequently is starting to show signs of cracking BUT ONLY on the plastic surfaces. The minor cracks do not weaken the unit or effect its popping. I’m just a little extra careful about grabbing it out of the microwave so quickly, by just the handle. I now use the handle and I also support the entire thing with a dish towel when removing it from the microwave. Even if the handle were to break off, I would still be able to use the popper, just with a potholder or something similar. I’m pretty stoked about this popper. ALWAYS PERFECTLY POPPED.Update September 28, 2024We are still using our popper as much as we did when we purchased it back in 2021. It has stood up to the test of time as far as I’m concerned. On my last update I mentioned the cracking of the plastic on the handle. Well, it is doing fine and apparently the micro-cracks have not weakened the plastic and are not getting any worse so I am very happy about that but as always, I like to handle the popper gently just to be safe.I have always placed a big chunk of butter on the top of the lid and then salted the heck out of it before putting it into the microwave. A little tip…… I use only stick butter from the fridge (cold). I don’t get the same results from using the butter in the tubs. I have had some crappy results with popping corn BUT the results were a direct result of trying a different kind of popcorn. My wife purchased a few different types and brands of corn. One type of corn (I can’t remember the name) would just lay in the bottom of the popper and burn with possibly 1% popped. However, that same corn did fantastic in a pot on the stove (98%) popped but then we tried it in our air-popper and it produced approximately 70% popped. Another type of popcorn she bought produced a lousy (20% this popper), (50% stovetop), (90% Air Popped). And another brand of popcorn she bought produced fairly similar results with each of the methods I mentioned above. So in conclusion I find that it isn’t so much a (popper) problem that yields more popped kernels but the actual corn that makes the big difference. We still have our century old 1000 watt turntable style microwave so it isn’t the oven that changes. It’s pretty clear to me that the “magic” is in the kernel not the popper. So if you are experiencing problems with your popper not popping the corn then before you blame the device try and use a different brand of kernel. After all this writing about popcorn and butter and poppers, I am wanting some popcorn RIGHT NOW! I hope this update will help some of you guys with your popper. One last tip; Do as I did and spend some time reading about what popcorn really is and learn from the experts that grow it and make a living doing it. There is an endless stream of information on popcorn available. I actually learned a lot and now that I am aware of just why certain popcorn reacts differently to the various methods of popping it. I learned the proper ways to store it and now understand the differences in water content in the kernels and how that affects the speed, size and texture of the popped kernels. A dry kernel will not pop. Popcorn requires moisture content in each kernel. It’s the moisture that turns into steam inside the kernel that causes it to explode into the popcorn we all love. So check out the world of popcorn and see for yourself. The industry of popcorn is much larger than I ever expected. Learning about popcorn has pretty much eliminated any bad popping experience that we used to get even before purchasing this popper years ago. I expect that this popper will continue to make popcorn for us for quite a long time yet.Yet another update on this story. The date is February 5, 2025. I was darn sure that by date of 2025 that making popcorn was going to be the function of our kitchen robot, like on the Jetsons. But not so. Instead we have Alexa and Seri. Both won’t shut up and they are constantly arguing about something they are not capable of understanding and now my ChatGPT has joined in on my future kitchen. I should have known back in the early 1960’s that the future is not going to be like everyone thought it would be.HOWEVER, I still own a perfectly good corn popper that was never considered back then. Of course, no Radar Ranges to use with the popper.I purchased it back in June of 2021 and we have used it multiple times per week since the day we received it.As of today it is still in perfect shape and still pops a great bowl of popcorn. Still have the same obsolete microwave. Possibly on its last leg. The platter still turns but with a heck of a clunking sound but nonetheless it still works great with the red globe popper. I plan on updating this review later this year on the 4 year anniversary of the purchase of the popper. If I haven’t made myself clear then read this…. BUY IT NOW. BE GENTLE AND IT WILL LAST!Happy popping!!
