Ready for a bad Jay-Z reference? If you feelin' like hiding cords go and brush your cables off! I told you it was bad, but you get the point. Hiding cables in the wall doesn't have to be hard, and with brush plates, you get a sexy looking finish. After seeing your cord-free TV setup, all your friends will be asking for help. Charge them a hundred bucks each, and you'll have enough to get those spinning rims you've had your eye on since 2003. Finally! When they ask how you did it, here are some talking points:

Fancy Brushes For Everyone

There are alot of crappy brush plates out there. The brushes will break off and now you've got holes in your wall and no brushes to hold low voltage cables. That's where our upgraded brush plates come in. Not only can they hold up to 8 HDMI cables, but you don't have to worry about the brushes snapping off. Nothing keeps me awake at night like worrying about my wall brush plates. I'm seeing someone about it.

Your Cables Are About To Get Mossed

Once you've got the brush plates installed, it's time to pass some cables through. While you're doing this, it can be really easy to accidentally drop cords behind the wall. Nothing will bleep up your day more than fishing an Ethernet wire out of the wall for 2 hours. Our brush plates come with a cable catching design that snags falling cords like a 1-handed Randy Moss TD grab, saving you from hours of frustration. Thanks Randy!

Brackets Are In The Box

Most brush plate kits don't include the drywall brackets. That means you're stuck using existing wall boxes or hunting down the right size at Menards where you're bound to get lost. Who designed that store anyway? This kit comes with brackets so you can put the plates exactly where you need them, even inside your TV mount wall plate. On top of that, you're going to have a flush finish, every time. Talk about a legit kit.

Dead Simple Install

At the end of the day, all those features are cool, but the install is where we shine...and I'm not talking about Jack Nicholson's son in that spooky movie. You'll have these brush plates installed in under 30 minutes thanks to our cutting template and helpful manual. Use the template to pick out your pass-through locations and cut perfect holes. Oh, and our install manual is actually useful. It's straightforward and even has a few jokes sprinkled in. All you need to bring is a screwdriver and drywall saw, everything else is in the box.

To sum it all up, these low voltage brush plates are an excellent option to hide your cables. We've even got product nerds available 7 days a week if you run into an install snag or need life advice.

You might as well cancel your evening plans if you drop a cable behind the wall. That sucker will take hours to get out. We built-in a cable catching mechanism that'll keep your Applebee's dinner date in tact. Go for the 2 for 20.

Installing these are simple however due to the screws being the thread they are and the adjustment plastics being tight, when any pressure to tighten the brackets is applied they snap. As you can see in the photo the blocking bracket snapped way off and it’s not threaded much and in the back ground is the first attempt where it snapped clean off when trying to install. The other side only stayed because I was able to thread it outside before sliding inside the wall at an angle. I dont recommend these unless they are willing to include back up brackets due to poor quality in plastic or screws included.

Used these to hide the cord from the Frame TV in the wall. This really made a nice looking project and cuts down on the airflow a minor bit too.

Quality and ease of use of the product is excellent. I did not use the extra pieces to mount the plate. It fitted perfectly with drywall screws.

Very good for placing wires behind the wall. While I would not use this for all wires, I feel it's fine to use for hdmi wires specifically designed for behind the wall type of work and for low voltage items. I currently use this setup for my TV and soundbar. Works well and very easy to install. Just need some tools like a stud finder (so you can work around the studs), a small saw or rotary tool, and a power drill or screwdriver.

Product was very sturdy and solid. I run 3 HDMI cables and speaker wire from my audio receiver, into and through the wall, and out to the TV above the fireplace. This product allowed me to do that, and with the chords coming through the brushed opening, I can still have it look nice and professional. You can just pass the wires through, or the plate comes with a more sophisticated way of separating the up to 8 cables, if desired. Good directions and a nice template for hole cutting.

These were great for running HDMI cables through the walls so our media cabinet looked clean and uncluttered. The cutting guide was somewhat helpful, but the brackets that hold the plate in are a little flimsy. We broke 2 of them, but just took the flipper pieces off an old work box and replaced them. Also, the hole cut in the wall would be better if it was slightly smaller than a standard electrical box. We were able to make it work, but I think it would have fit better if the hole in the wall was cut about 1/2 smaller.

Skip the included mounts and use a low voltage "old work box" from the big box store instead. The included mounts are flimsy and hard to install. If you're looking for a black brush grommet this is a good buy for the part. Seems to be identical to the legrand design with a hidden cable retention system behind the brush.
