Since day one did not work and I want to return it.Now, I cannot return it. Customer service does not respond by email/phone.I had a Pool Pilot that was very reliable but I saw this one that is built in with everything and made the mistake to replace it.It has power, water flow is good, salt level is good, water flow direction is good, Water flow direction matches the arrow, display does not shows any error, level is in booster or 32.the only thing is that could be bad from factory.

The EC12 was fairly easy to install but was not a direct replacement for my Pentair IC15. The unit would have fit but the nuts used for to couple the pipes we slightly different in size. I ended up doing some plumbing with PVC pipe. The EC12 works and produces chlorine but has to be run a longer time. I have a 11000 gallon pool and the pump is on a timer. In the past, I ran the pump 8 hours a day. I am running the pump 12 hours a day now to keep the chlorine levels right. (This is with the EC12 on it's highest setting.)Take away. The unit does work for the price. I would buy again but the unit size would be two sizes larger. The unit has an audible alarm when there is no water flow sensed. There needs to be a way to turn off the beeping. I added a second timer to the unit to matching pump timer. The clear housing on the unit is nice to see it working.

Quick to install but the fittings are not quite 1 1/2 or 2 inch.

The chlorinator was relatively easy to install. The fitting diameter is not commonly used. So it's hard to find fittings in big box store. I eventually went with soft rubber couplers. The big issue here is that the chlorinator (EC12, rated for 15,000 gallon pool) is not generating enough chlorine to keep my pool clean. I have a 11,000 gallon pool. My old chlorinator was rated only for 12,000 gallon. It keeps my pool clean all year round. I am replacing the old one with this inline chlorinator that looks neat and is a little cheaper. My pool is slowly turning green despite that I set the highest level. Pool chemical measurements showed lower chlorine level. I will try a higher rated model (EC20) after returning this one. Hopefully it will work better.(August 2nd update, three months review) First, you got my warning, DONT buy this product. Just don't buy it. It's not producing enough chlorine no matter which unit (EC12 or EC20) you buy. The salt cells are too small, I don't know if they even use any rare earth metal coating. It is cheap, you got what you paid for.
