-40-inch diameter- 4mm thick- I got this felt round protector to protect my wood floors when we put up our artificial tree.- I was able to use my vacuum to help clean it- I’m not sure it would be the best for a real tree since there is no waterproofing in the felt fabric. If you water your tree and accidents spills water into the felt it will most definitely absorbe the water but might get your floors moist. This protector would be more suitable for artificial trees.

Got this mat to place under artificial tree that will go on our newly refinished wood floors to protect from the metal legs. This mat will serve that purpose. Would NOT recommend for under a live tree as the felt fabric would just absorb any water spillage which would cause water damage on whatever surface it is on from prolonged exposure to moisture. Also concerned the texture of the fabric will trap any needles that fall on it, whether live or artificial, so will just be a needle collector. Won't want to use the other side because the needle side against the floor side might cause some scratching/scarring of the floor. The other reason disappointed in this is the mat came in vacuumed sealed bag (definitely can understand the efficiency of this) and the fabric is VERY creased. This bag was so tightly sealed that when it was cut opened actually heard the air going into it. When trying to lay flat, the mat was trying to fold back up. Can't put felt in the washer which is what I usually do to get creases out of fabric. Tried misting the mat with water and laying it in the closet unfolded on top of our Christmas boxes of décor. We will see if the mat lays better by Thanksgiving (when we put the tree up). Might try ironing.

This is a reversible, round, 40" tree skirt, green on one side and red on the other. It's unexpected, as it's made from an easy-to-clean felt, a material that is thick and somewhat stiff. It comes folded and has creases that do need to relax, so that it can lie flat. (A little steam would probably do the trick more quickly.) Also important to note, there is no slit, thus the skirt does not have an opening to cover the tree stand. I placed my tree on top of it, skirt with the green side up, and purchased a red tree collar to encircle the tree base. It's a bit of a layered look, but I'm really pleased with the effect. It's different from the traditional look I've gone with in years past, but changing it up keeps things interesting. Recommended.

I am currently using it under my Christmas tree. It works perfect and made it very easy to slide tree on our floors after we where done. I used the red side up so that it would match my red tree skirt. Awesome size, plenty of room left after tree stand was placed on.

We have an artificial tree which goes into a metal stand. The metal would scrape against the floor. Now with a mat, we can have the stand on the mat, preventing scratches to the wood floor. Would be great under a tree stand for a real tree as well, keeping water from dripping onto the floor. Everyone should have one.
