This is a well made outlet box. The lid can be fixed in the up position and then lowered after the connector has been installed. There was plenty of room to add the four 6 AWG wires for the 50 AMP model. The description does not identify the top plate hub. It's an Eaton DS100H1P for a 1" hub, if you choose to go that route and it's available on Amazon. For the 50 AMP box, a 1" conduit is the most appropriate, although technically you could use a 3/4" conduit if you pushed through individual 6 AWG wires. For a cable with 4 connectors, 1" is the minimum. By the way, the description on Amazon for the DS100H1P hub says the dimensions are 6.5" x 5.0". That is incorrect. The actual dimensions are the same as the plastic top plate that comes with the box. It's about 3" x 2 3/4".

This part is covered in sharp edges and ridges from the casting process, both on the inner surfaces and on the outside. I had to spend a half hour sanding and filing down the flashing before it was usable.
