I absolutely love cooking on our gas stove but cleaning it can be a headache. The enameled surface is only moderately tougher than some of the cooked on stains around the burners. I've avoided using spray Easy Off because the rest of the stove is stainless and the can specifically warns about using on stainless steel. I didn't want to ruin the rest of the stove because of overspray. If only there was a brushable or pourable version. Well, there is.Let's start with the bad. This is not the same Easy Off that's in the can. The spray stuff borders on paint remover in terms of its stain loosening power and noxious smell. This formula doesn't seem as strong and it still took some elbow grease (and multiple applications), specifically in the parts around the burners where the stains were baked on. As mentioned shipping took a while since this is a Hazmat product. It is expensive to ship.Moving on to why I'll be ordering it again.... For general grease removal, this can't be beat. I brushed on a liberal layer with a disposable foam brush and the product dissolved 80% of the grease stains on my stove top. I wiped it down with a damp sponge and the surface was squeaky clean. The gel lifts and holds the grease. There was absolutely no damage to the enamel on my stove. On areas around burners where the stains weren't strictly grease (I'm talking to you, boiled over oatmeal mess), I had to use multiple applications and even a plastic scraper. They eventually came clean. I'm fairly certain the spray-on Easy Off would have removed those stains on the first try.Remember that the active ingredient here is lye. You really need to wear gloves and eye protection. Fumes were minimal to non-existent, unlike the spray on version. Stove tops, like mine, are a mix of materials; the pan is enamel, the burners are aluminum and cast iron, the grates are cast iron, the backsplash is stainless. Lye can damage some of these materials so be deliberate in how you apply it. Finally, although this product does not eliminate all scrubbing, especially on tough stains, light stains and standing grease are dissolved in the first five minutes. Be prepared for multiple applications on the baked on stuff.I'll buy it again. I'll try to find somewhere local as I have a feeling that most of the cost of the product is in the hazmat fee.

Absolutely worthless. Barely removes the lightest of grease stains. Definitely doesnt work on an oven.This also had to be shipped to a special location because it is haz mat.

This is great stuff . Although the one bottle I ordered was shipped in a big box on an 18 wheeler . Something to do with Hazmat . Cleans very well and doesn't smother me like it does in the spray can.
