POWER AND FLEXIBILITY: The 79cc Viper Engine spins a tri-tip steel blade at 3400 RPMs providing the power and speed you need to accomplish lawn, sidewalk and driveway edging tasks. The edger can also be used for smaller trenching jobs such as electric fence installation or creating an underground cable run to a garage or shed.
MULTI-POSITION CUTTING: Our multi-position pivoting head offers 5 different cutting angles from 70-110 degrees allowing the user to select the angle that is best suited to handle any type of grass they need to edge. Head adjustment is made by simply sliding the single-hand operated lever into the appropriate notch on the adjustment plate.
PRECISION LINES: Clean professional lines can be easily achieved regardless of grass type when you combine the balance of a 4-wheeled design with multi-angled cutting. Use the 90-degree angle option to slice through standard blade grass or select between angles of 70, 80, 100, and 110 degrees to create a clean edge when dealing with creeping or tuberous grasses.
FLEXIBLE DEPTH CONTROL: Take complete control over your depth of cut with our flexible control mechanism. From the operating position, engage the adjustment lever with one-hand to select from multiple different depth settings from 0.5 inches up to 3.5 inches.

It does the job but motor seems pretty weak and bogs down a lot. I have a high lawn to pavement level and was hoping for more power.

This is a heavy machine and I would not recommend for a smaller stature person. Starts easy and easy to operate, but heavy and difficult around bends in sidewalk/driveway. If you are only going straight, anyone should be able to use it.

Great value and quality. Hubs and I put this edger together in about 4 hours. Worked on it the first day in triple digit heat for a couple of hours out in the garage. But on day 2, I gathered all the parts and pieces, took them to the kitchen, and called hubs. He finished it under the AC and we were both much happier. Dang thing started up on the second pull. Awesome. 🤩 Full disclosure, I know Jack about putting stuff together and am not strong enough to start any equipment, but I can read directions and usually find the tools needed. Hubs worked with Special Ed and is very patient, but I’m not. I’m a total geek and have a Master’s in Information Technology and now with AI, I wish I become a plumber or electrician. It’s the tool belt generation, you know.My only complaint is that the instructions need a parts list with pictures of actual size nuts, bolts, etc. Also, one of the pieces was a rod that was painted and I needed a rubber mallet to pound it through the holes. Not that I do any pounding, mind you. The paint made the rod too tight a fit. Really, how hard would it be to have mentioned that? Likely that rod was one which the wheels went on.

The assembly instructions left a little to be desired. We have fairly hard ground and it worked great!

I have a lot of beds to edge and wanted an edger up to the task. The earthquake edger does a nice job and is powerful enough. It is also comfortable to use - handlebar is a good height and the "split" handlebar makes it easy to maneuver.
