These earplugs are fantastic for motorcycle riding. They effectively block out wind noise while still allowing you to hear traffic, your intercom, and music clearly. They’re also easy to clean—just remove the filters, wash with soap and water, and leave them to dry.If you’re looking for high-quality earplugs that are both effective and easy to maintain, these are an excellent choice.

There are a lot of noise reducing ear plugs on the market and I've tried a few but they don't fit too well and work their way out in a short period of time. EarPeace are getting good reviews so I thought I'd try them out. Yes they are more expensive than others but well worth the investment. These come with 2 sizes of silicon plug so you can find the nest fit for you but they don't just give you a pair of each, they give you 3 of each in case you loose one. In addition to that you get 3 noise reduction filters so you can choose how much noise you want to block. I went for the highest in the medium plug size giving around 24db reduction and they are fantastic, giving a massive reduction in high speed wind noise but still allowing me to hear the bike engine (just about) and other important noises such as sirens and horns. They are comfortable and most important don't fall out or work themselves loose. They have a handy aluminium case which fits your 2 main buds in one end and there's a smaller compartment at the bottom end for your spare. Brilliant!

I had tried various other ear plugs years ago but gave up on them. The pinch/roll ones were a pain in the ass, never seemed to seat right and were not very comfortable. Other cone-shaped ones had a little handle/posts used for insertion, that would then ram into my ear when the helmet went on. Other types just wouldn't stay in, or blocked almost all sound. These are easy to put in and take out, aren't affected by helmet donning/doffing, are extremely comfortable, and block what noise should be blocked while still allowing me to hear the engine, other vehicles, and people talking. Basically, they cut out the clamour. I liked them so much that I ordered a second set after a few weeks of using them, to use with my lawn tractor. The price had gone up by $7, but to my surprise, the second package had a sticker on it that said they now include two sizes in the package. There were two complete sets of 3 earplugs, one of them being a smaller size, which fit my ears even better than the the original ones. I swear, I wouldn't even know I had them in if it weren't for the noise reduction (I use the highest reducing filter, black) . I've had them in for 4 or five hours a day, four days straight, with no ear pain/irritation during use or after. I pop them out and it's as if I hadn't even been riding. My ONLY gripe is that I wish they were red. I've dropped them several times on gravel and in grass and they are very difficult to see. I almost couldn't find them. They match grey gravel perfectly. I know they do make red ones because I saw them on their website, but I can't find them anywhere. It'd be smart to just make 'em all red.

...with just the right amount of sound.I use these ear plugs when I ride my DR650SE.Earplugs are a personal thing; read the reviews and you'll find them all over the place for the many makes of earplugs offered. After having spent 34 years as a commercial pilot I know a thing or two about "on-the-job" noise. I can still hear very well ...and I want to keep it that way. So when I picked up riding motorcycles again in retirement, I knew after one ride, I was gonna need some "aural attenuation".Doing some research and personal trial and error, the most important aspect of the proper functioning of earplugs is how they *fit* in your ear canal. Don't assume because you're a "big guy" you have big ear canals ...or vice versa. Or that because a size "medium" is quoted as fitting most people that you are "most people". And, your ear canals might not be a matched set; not out of the realm of possible to have one side be a small and the other a medium. I figured my ear canals were fairly small because I have consistent trouble inserting and keeping in place the spongy, crush-to-fit, foam style earplugs. I would say dialing in the correct size for your earplugs is the hardest, but most important, aspect of wearing them and having them work effectively.Earpeace makes large, medium and small sizes; they come one size per kit. They do give you three earplugs in each kit in case you lose one ...a smart idea. Also smart was the nice aluminum key chain carry case. The actual audio filter is a small plastic insert that goes into the soft surround of the earplug. The Earpeace earplugs come with three sets of filters. You can go from less to more attenuation by swapping out the factory installed filters. And Earpeace gives you three filters per set so you have a spare filter in case you lose one; they *are* small and they *are* easy to drop and have disappear. So far I've stuck with the factory installed filters.A big point about these earplugs; they don't equally block all frequencies of sound. These modern earplugs are audio filters; they attenuate the harmful sound frequencies (like wind noise in your helmet) and attenuate less the less harmful sound frequencies (like the human voice or the sounds of the engine). So if you're used to the equally attenuating soft foamy earplugs, then these audio filter earplugs might sound a bit loud or noisy. The filters do seem to work as I can easily hear someone talking to me and I can respond in a normal level voice. I can hear other vehicles on the road to include emergency vehicles. But the roar of wind noise in my helmet is just about gone. For me, the Earpeace small earplugs fit perfect; my hunch was right. There is a knack to getting the earplugs properly inserted; you don't just jam them in your ears. Read the instructions and practice a bit. I know the earplugs are inserted correctly when I can gently pull on the small removal tabs and the earplugs stay put. One of the important points on earplugs in general are the small removal tabs. The ones on the Earpeace are right-sized and easy to grab with your bare thumb and forefinger; but you need to make sure you put them in correctly. As long as you can grab the tabs, the earplugs come out easily. Another major benefit of proper fit is comfort. With the Earpeace earplugs once I'm up and riding, I don't notice I'm wearing earplugs: I can't feel them; they don't hurt; they stay put. They stay put even when putting on my helmet. I can't comment on how the Earpeace earplugs effect hearing my helmet comm. system; I haven't tried it yet. I typically don't listen to music while riding and I sure as heck don't want to be dealing with "extended warranty" spam calls (or *any* calls) while I'm riding. I don't have a cellphone mount for my bike yet (but it's at the top of my list) so I'm not using the GPS voice directions feature. I will update this as my experience with these earplugs continues.

I'm a nerd about protecting my hearing. I do a lot of target shooting, live audio mixing, motorcycle riding, and outdoor power-equipment related things. What I specifically wanted from this purchase were a set of plugs that 1) were comfortable, 2) would work *comfortably* underneath my motorcycle helmet, 3) would provide adequate hearing protection without killing all of the noise around me (for awareness), and 4) would still allow me to clearly hear the speakers in my helmet.I've had these for a few weeks and used them many times. I can say they meet all of those expectations for me! The sound suppression is great (I'm using the black, highest rated filters) and all the wind noise from my 3/4 helmet is greatly reduced. My straight pipes sound like they're way off in the distance, yet I can clearly hear my in-helmet bluetooth without cranking the volume on it. I was doubtful about the "frequency filter" style plugs, thinking they would just be a gimmick. These are "passive," meaning they aren't electronic and rely solely on the materials themselves to filter out sound, and I thought it would be just a marketing ploy. However, they do a great job at making offensive sounds much quieter, while allowing more normal sounds (frequencies) to get through more. The main thing I needed was comfort, which includes the ability to wear them under my motorcycle helmet. These are nice and small, and the material is very soft/pliable, making for a great seal and a comfortable fit every time. Pulling on my motorcycle helmet is no problem. These are very comfortable to ride with and I often forget I even have them in! Listening to music is no problem- I can hear the speaks very well through these plugs, even with the volume (reasonably) low. It's great that these come with multiple sets of filters for different uses. If I didn't get so much wind noise from my helmet, I'd probably be using one of the "lesser" sets of filters. Nice to have the option! I was also surprised to see that I actually got 3 plugs (in case one gets lost, I suppose). I should note that you get 3 of each filter, too, so if you lose a plug, you'll still be able to match the spare plug & filter.I was also surprised to see that they came with a "case", a little plastic box that wasn't advertised. I didn't order the sets with the aluminum keychain case, so I thought they'd just come loose in a plastic bag. Great little bonus there! I actually prefer this case, since I don't carry my motorcycle key 99% of the time I ride. I like that I can drop the plugs in a case instead of being loose in my pocket.
