It fit perfectly as long as you know how to restring a bow you're good to go. I just used a piece of paracord with a loop on each end, then cocked it back, then slid the new string on.

The serving area string became undone after shooting darts just three times. This product may still be a good value if you are willing to reinforce the service string areas with E6000 glue. I am still testing, but seems to really help.

The crossbow string started to unravel after the first few shots my son took. The product was extremely poor quality. I would advise anyone interested in purchasing this product to spend a few extra dollars and get a better quality string. Unfortunately for my son his fun ended quiet quickly that day but did learn a valuable lesson about purchasing products over the internet!

I needed some replacement string for an old Barnett Phantom pistol-style crossbow. After looking at the reviews on this product, I decided to buy three strings and evaluate them based on reviewer's posts, and my own rather long experience with bows and crossbows. Before I start, I will say that I have no opinion one way or another regarding the caps that come with these strings. My caps are still the originals, and don't appear to need replacing any time soon...of course, my old Barnett was made when things were made with real quality, and was made here in the U.S. before everyone started using overseas manufacturing.Anyway, the first string I attached: I decided to do as it seems most do...I fit the string, and began firing the bow as any amateur would. After 40 shots, the string broke. I figured it would break early, but was mildly surprised to see it last that long. The second string I attached: I waxed the string, as I would any synthetic bow/crossbow string. After 100 shots (reapplying wax every 10 shots), the string is still in good order, with no signs of fraying, stretching, etc. It will probably last for a long time, as long as I care for the string as I always have with all of my synthetic strings.I think most (not ALL, mind you) of the problems people have with these strings breaking after a few shots is simply that they don't understand they need to care for their string to give it a long life. Without wax, like , or , these polyester strings will quickly fray and break. Wax is needed to both lubricate the string as it slides across the deck of the bow, and to keep the string strong by binding the fibers together. With a little care of applying wax on these strings every 5 to 10 shots, people will find the life of their string lengthened considerably.Keep your string waxed, and do NOT store your crossbow while it is strung. You should find your strings lasting longer.

These strings are great so far,we purchased them as replacement strings for our mini 50 lb.pistol crossbows, the string on them are about 1/8 inch shorter than these strings, the ends are wrapped less, and the center appears to not match up perfectly, the end caps do not fit at all,so hold on to the ones that came with the bow. We replaced the string and test fired it a number of times, and walked away completely satisfied with the strings performance, fits the 50 lb. well enough. But the end caps, which you do need,do not fit the 50 lb.,way to big. For the price and performance these strings do well for the 50 lb. mini pistol crossbow, good deal.
