I used it to send food to my homeland of Jamaica following the recent hurricane. I was able to send a decent amount of stuff and I felt good that the container was able to stand up to the long distance travel and that the content was secure.

The barrel is fine - as advertised. The seller ships USPS. They do not deliver such a large item. You will have to get a truck because of the huge box it is shipped in and pick it up at the USPS distribution center. which defeats the purpose of purchasing on Amazon.

Shipped sooner than expected, which was nice. Arrived in good condition. Using it to build an automatic watering system for my rabbits in the barn. Is exactly what I need, and at a fair price.

It's a 55 gallon drum. I was a little disappointed as someone had tried to cut a hole in it. Luckily I needed to cut a hole there so it didn't matter.

I was quite pleased with the capacity, and the top was very secure. Because of the black sides I used a silver-colored Sharpie to write the destination. It worked well.
