Worst item I have ever purchased on Amazon. The threaded attaching end was distorted and I did not notice before screwing it into a hard to reach socket. The assy stuck in the socket and ruined my hard to reach light fixture. Do not purchase this item.

I wanted to drop a light bulb in an unfinished area of my basement a few inches so that it wasn't blocked behind a vent. I didn't want to lower the electrical box because there wasn't a lot of room to work next to the vent. So I looked for socket extenders and came across this one. My need was simply to drop the bulb, so i did not need to use the "elbow" feature that allows the extender to bend, and cannot comment on whether it is stiff enough to keep the bulb in place when bent to an angle. Some reviews have indicated that the elbow doesn't stay bent, and I can't comment on that. But for my needs, simply to lower a bulb, this product works great.

Would be better if it was more bendy.

Works. able to ame my light down, but watch your wattage... The wires in it are super thin, so I wouldn't trust putting in anything too bright....

Purchased this for the garage where the light fixture requires the bulb to be screwed in parallel to the ceiling, but I had a light that needed to be screwed in perpendicular to the ceiling. This did the job and I was able to screw in the light without any issues.
