Product Description

The Principle Behind this Eye Chart

Material and Characteristics

-
Are You Ready for Your Vision Test?
1. Choose a quiet, well-lit area with no obstructions in front of the eye chart.
2. Attach the chart to the wall using double-sided tapes, making sure that the 20/20 line is at eye level.
3. The standard testing distance is 10 feet (3 meters).
-
What Are the Steps Involved in Vision Testing?
1. Stand 10 feet away from the chart.
2. Cover the left eye first, then the right eye separately.
3. Begin reading from the top of the chart, moving downward.
4. Record the clearest line that can be seen for each eye separately.
-
How Do You Interpret Measurement Results?
If you can read the letters on every line from 20/20 and upwards, your prescription is 0D, indicating good vision. However, if you can only read the letters from 20/40 and upwards, your prescription may be -1.00D, suggesting a need for correction.
-
Can You Determine Red-Green Color Blindness?
The inclusion of red and green color bars facilitates the assessment of red-green color blindness.
-
Tips
1. Take breaks regularly and avoid testing your vision when your eyes are fatigued.
2. As their eyes are still in the process of development, 3-4-year-old children may typically only be able to read the 20/40 or 20/50 lines.
